Gastronomical Delight

While on Scott's Pizza Tour, being educated about pizza and what goes into making a pizza good, made me appreciate each bite I took. Each slice of pizza we tasted was a gastronomical delight bursting with the flavors of the crust, sauce, and cheese. At each location we visited, the owners explained their love for their pizza and how proud they were to have us taste them. Whether the pizza chefs grew their own herbs, developed their special crust, or made their own cheese, each story had us appreciate our pizza, when it appeared, even more. Our guide, Scott, was exploding with energy while he described the pizza we were about to taste. His knowledge of the history of pizza and the areas we visited was extraordinary. We even visited the place where the pizza ovens have been made for years. I certainly suggest going on the tour for a fun and delicious day.

Incredibly Awesome and Delicious Pizza Tour!

Scott (of Scott's Pizza Tours) runs the most delicious tours you will ever experience. During our four-hour tour, we visited four different brick oven pizzerias throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. Scott will drop tons of pizza knowledge on you throughout the entire trip, and by the end of the four hours, you will know way more about pizza than you ever could imagine. One of my favorite parts of the tour was visiting Bari, the pizza oven and equipment manufacturer, where we got a sneak peak into the world of pizza oven making. Overall, Scott does a great job and I couldn't have asked for a better tour. Highly recommend.

I had such a good time and really enjoyed Scott explaining all about the pizza history and the ovens they are cooked in - I looked forward to doing a walking tour sometime in the near furture. And I can't wait to go back to some of the restaurants that were on the tour to eat at them again as a couple of them were really awesome! The owner/chefs from these restaurants were all so nice to our whole group, so it was great that were we able to meet these people as they added to our experience. So I high recommend taking this tour more than once.

A great, leisurely weekend activity...

The tour guide has a clear passion for all things pizza - from the cheese, to the tomatoes, to the crust.... His detail and history of each venue add another level of depth to the pie...He gives new meaning to the triangle slice with a touch of humor on the side. Although beware of the bus, tends to get a little hot, so bring some ice cubes for the ride... Oh, and you most certainly can eat 4 slices.

Scott, I Love You.

This was an incredible tour. I learned so much about New York City history, pizza history, the ingredients, and, most of all, what it takes to create a truly great pizza. Not only did I find great places to eat in the city I love, but I refined my pizza-palette in a way I never thought possible. As for Scott, himself... he is an incredible tour guide. The entire tour exuded his passion for pizza and sharing it with the world. I enjoyed myself more by simply being in the presence of Scott's enthusiasm. I normally get tired and bored by the end of a typical tour. Not this one. When I finished this tour, I was just as excited and energetic as when we left (save for the utterly satisfying full-ness).

We enjoyed this tour very much. Scott is very personable, really enthusiastic and filled with a passion about what he is doing. It was very interesting and quite different. We learned a lot about pizza, its origins, brick ovens, etc. and ate pizza until we couldn't eat any more. Great fun.

The tour is definitely new and refreshing. Who'd thought about giving a tour on pizza!!! I had a great time and definitely went home with a full belly with the amount of food they fed you. The only suggestion I have will be getting a transpotation with A/C especially in the summer time. It's not ideal to travel in a bus without A/C when it's blazing hot out. You get disoriented after a while as you're steaming in the bus.

My friends and I had a GREAT time on the pizza tour. Our tour guide Scott had lots of info about pizza history. The pizza we sampled was absolutely delicious. This is lots of fun for a group of friends, a date or for families as well. My friends and I can't wait to go back on another tour to try some of the other pizzerias Scott includes on the tour. As a native New Yorker, I would recommend this for both locals and tourists. If you love pizza, this is a MUST DO!!

I saw Scott on Channel 5 News and I thought it would be great to try something new. We went to Lombardi's, Artichoke and 2 others in the Bronx. I have to say Scott knows his stuff and made it quite enjoyable. One thing that I would like to see changed is possibly to keep the places in one area. For instance just Manhatten or just Brooklyn etc. It was a little long and we hit some traffic since it was the Sunday before Memorial Day. I would definitely go bac k and my son loved it since he is a pizza fanatic. Hope Scott does well with his endeavor.
