Great, fun tour!
Sun, Sep 25, 11   11:30 AM Griffson0920 Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
It was a fun and informative tour about pizza, it's origins and methods. I liked learning about the differences in crust, preparation and cooking techniques. The tour guide was fun and very knowledgeable. The pizza tasting was great at 2 of the 3 stops. I wish on the last stop we would have tasted a pizza similar to the other two we had tried for a truer comparison. The pizza chosen at the third stop was not liked by anyone in your group.

...Something great to do while you are in NYC...

I truly enjoyed the pizza tour. It was fantastic meeting people from all over the U.S./globe and Scott was wonderful. I believe he did something very special for our group--we stopped by an old-style Italian cheese shop to taste fresh mozzarella. I am sure that this little stop on the beaten path was not the norm nor did Scott think of doing this until we were moving from one pizza shop to the next--thank you--our group was very thankful. I believe that the only down side is the price of the tour when considering the # of pizza slices. While I I don't feel as if I needed more than one piece per shop, others were very hungry, especially after eating pieces that were just over bit-size--Keste--pizza, however, great. It may be a good idea to provide at least two slices per person per pizza shop visited. Also, I would recommend to Scott a pizza/tour trivia at the end of the tour with a grand prize--a free pizza at one of the shops visited or somewhere in the city or something else really fun. I would recommend it, however, if folks are hungry, then they can can simply visit the pizza shops without the tour--meaning, for the next steps in growing the tour, perhaps it is time for a new strategy... Nonetheless, I truly enjoyed it!

We visited 3 pizza shops on this tour, each specializing in a different type of pizza. Scott is a fantastic guide. His enthusiasm for pizza is infectious. On this tour you will learn about the history and evolution of pizza, as well as the techniques for making various types of pizza. The food is delicious and filling. I would highly recommend this to others and would be happy to go on this tour again!

The Master of All Things Pizza

In 4.5 hours we went to 3 different boroughs and 4 pizzerias. All of them had some history behind them and good pizza too. Scott has endless knowledge of pizza (not just New York). It's not just about the taste, but also the history, the science and the business. He is very enthusiastic about the things he talks about and very entertaining. It doesn't feel, pardon the pun, cheesy and rehearsed. I have a feeling if I went again, there would definitely be somethig new for me to learn. This is a fun and different tour that involves one of the best foods ever. How can you go wrong?

Do not consider yourself a pizza fan until you take one of Scott's Pizza Tours. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely interested in all things pizza from ovens to wheat to mozzarella. I cannot recommend this activity strongly enough.

Random Awesomeness!!!!!!!!!!

Scott was so enthusiastic and fun! My friend was so upset i dragged her onto a 3 hour tour but it was great. The Crosstown Pizza Walk was fun and upbeat. The entire group was of about 14 people. Scott makes everyone feel included and you never want to leave at all! At one point we talked for about 15 minutes about the art of pizza boxes- and somehow, even that was still interesting!!! I wasn't a huge fan of all the places we went for pizza but it definitely fit in to the history of pizza so i see why they were included! and in doing this tour, i found the best tasting pizza i've ever had at John's Pizza in the village!!! so happy i went!

the most fascinating thing I did in NYC all week

Scott was an amazing performer. He should be on a food channel. I did not know someone could talk about pizza for 3 hours and keep it so entertaining and informative. I never knew this much went into making pizza. And he took us to 3 primo places. He knows the history of pizza from A to Z. We saw plays in NYC, went to the philharmonic, hit some great bars, etc. .... but much to my surprise, this pizza tour was the most fun I had on on the trip. It was the high point of the week.
