Had a great time learning the history of pizza in New York, touring NY and eating pizza. When you are done with the tour you will know that a cheese pizza is not just another cheese pizza. Guide was very well versed and enthusiastic.

Great time

My wife and I had a great time on the pizza tour! Even though we are New Yorkers and had been to a couple of the locations before, it was great to get a behind the scenes tour with Scott and learn about the history of the various places. Scott also introduced us to Patricia's in the Bronx which we had never heard of before, but is a place that had great pizza. Many thanks to Scott for a great afternoon!

What a hoot!

Our touor guide was knowledgable, enthusiastic, fun, descriptive, enlightening. He thoroughly enjoyed his subject and his tour, and he shared every bit with us. The destination sites were well chosen. By focusing on basic pizza and discussing the differences in baking technniques, ingredients, and ovens, we got a wonderful chance to compare a seemingly pedestrian food to discover a surprisingly sophisticated result. I took Scott's brochures and cards to work for some enthusiastic guerilla marketing.

This was the most fun that we have had in a long time! Scott was wonderful! He really made the experience entertaining, informative and a lot of fun. The pizza was great and who would have ever known the complexity of our favorite food. I highly recommend this tour for visitors and locals!

The tour is fun, informative, and quite delicious.

An entertaining and most informative tour. Scott's encyclopedic knowledge of pizza gave us a new appreciation of this culinary art-form, and his enthusiasm, together with the warm welcome in every venue, made this a most enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

Scott led us on a magical jouney of pizza deliciousness. Not only was he a fantastic guide, but he created a family of pizza lovers on an adventure for a variety of the best pizza in Manhattan and the Bronx. This was actually my second tour thus far. I wanted to share it with more friends and they loved it! I highly reccomend this tour to anyone who likes or loves pizza. The slices fill you up and you'll never eat a slice the same way again!

Belgians Love Pizza!
Sun, Aug 24, 08   11:00 AM DanielJ173 Male 30-39 Local Group of Friends
As a Pizza Tour Veteran, I was excited to bring my girlfriend and her best friend, who are both from Belgium, on the tour. It surely did not disappoint, and we visited some of my favorites (PATRICIA'S OF MORRIS PARK!!!) as well as some new joints. Scott as always was a funny and friendly tourguide. The information was just about as delicious as the pizza! We learned about the many different ways pizza is prepared and we got to sample pizza made using 3 different methods. We also learned a bit about the neighborhoods, which added something special to the tour. Also, the tour solves the mystery of which Ray's is the true original, which I'm sure appeals to New Yorkers who have been wondering the same thing. I'm looking forward to my next Scott's Pizza Tour already!

Pizza will never be the same again

I will only say this once more, I'll never be able to eat regular pizza ever again. The pizza sampled have to be the best in the world. Scotts knowledge of pizza history, pizzeria history and New York history is incredible. I took this tour not expecting much but it was a choice I'm glad I made. The ride from place to place was fun with pizza trivia and pizza Q & A making the time pass really quick between pizza samples. What he knew about Arizona pizzerias was mind blowing alone. When I go back to New York I will definately go on the tour again.

Amazingly Fun

Scott's tour was great, I would recommend it to anyone visiting New York City with an open afternoon (however if a family has small children I might be reluctant to do the walking tour, because the distance traveled is doable but substantial). I was expecting to just go to a couple of pizzerias and hopefully eat some good pizza, but I got much more than I expected. The history lessons and stop offs at a factory in which modern gas pizza ovens are made were great. Scott was very kind and open to any questions that the group had. Again, I would highly recommend this tour.

This was truly a wonderful activity. Scott was friendly and knowledgable, and took us to three unique pizza places. At first, we thought that we would just be visiting pizza places, but we actually got much, much more. We journeyed through pizza lore, taking in the sites and smells New York City had to offer. The atmosphere was fun, and Scott encouraged us to ask him questions and interact with our group. Make sure to come hungry, and bring sneakers and a bottle of water, as there is a lot of walking. We would definitely do this again!
