Scott is so passionate about his pizza, he is really contagious! Apart from being great fun, and perfect for taking a 16-yearold in New York for the first time - I have to say I did learn loads too. Like how fresh mozzarella taste, and the difference between taste and ovens. So thanks for a great tour! //Angelin from Sweden

Scott is so engaging and you learn all these interesting facts about the history of pizza in nyc on top of eating some great slices. Really enjoyed this tour. Great way to see and walk lower Manhattan. Scott is a wonderful tour guide, open to questions and input. Highly recommended. I think everyone on our tour (about 20 people) had a ball!

Taking this tour you can really tell how passionate scott is about pizza and how much he knows about it. I liked the pizzas we ate very much and there were subtle (and sometimes major) differences between them. Scott asked me which places I liked and then proceeded to recommend me some more places to see on my own (which have been great as well). These are good pizza places and scott makes it a fun tour.

Best decision while in New York

Scott made this tour the best! He is incredibly interested and informed about pizza and its history and is able to educate you with his enthusiasm and vivacious personality. While in New York we did all the tourist things like seeing plays, 5th Ave., Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and this pizza tour is definitely one of the main highlights that we will remember forever. This tour is definitely worth the effort and money if you love pizza and have any curiosity of how it all started in New York.

We had a unusually small group (3 people plus Scott) and it was great, we spent heaps of time talking about the different ovens, sampling lots of pizza and finding out about the history of NYC, Naples and pizza!

A very different experience

This tour was recommended to my husband and I by my son who had already taken the tour. Scott, our tour guide was so enthuastic and up beat during the entire tour. You could tell he enjoyed doing was he does and made it so much more enjoyable. We took the tour on an extremely hot day and I had difficulty walking due to my recent weight gain. So, if you have difficulty walking this may not be the activity for you. It was also my husband's birthday on the day of our tour and Scott had a pizza dessert made for us to share. I thought that was really a great thing to do. I would highly recommend this tour and hopefully Scott is your tour guide.

We are a mom and daughter (51 and 19, respectively!) from Washington, DC who have been anxious to take this tour for a few years........It was so worth the wait! We thoroughly enjoyed every delicious minute of our walking pizza tour. Our guide, Joanne, was fabulous --- Thanks, Joanne, for a wonderful Saturday morning tour on a beautiful June day! Loved all three slices and I think I'd have to eat them side-by-side to choose a favorite :) Enjoyed the history lesson along the way and the special visit to Patsy. We would enthusiastically recommend this tour and hope to take the bus version in the future! Thank you, Scott, for creating such a fun event for all of us!

Enjoyable walking tour to 3 different types of pizzeria. Who knew? Especially enjoyable was our trip to Lombardi's to see their brick oven. I never knew that learning history could be so delicious. Thanks to Joanne our pizza guide who answered every question and was both patient and enthusiastic.

Great family activity!

The pizza tour sounded like a great activity for my family while my in-laws were visiting from out of town. Our group included my in-laws who are in their 60s, my husband and myself, and our 3 children ages 5,7, and 9. From the moment Scott greeted us he was upbeat and enthusiastic about all that is pizza. My kids were immediately hooked and this is before we even began walking to the first pizzeria! The tour was informative, entertaining, and delicious. I was struck by how much my kids got into comparing the styles of pizza we sampled. The tour moved along well. We weren't in any one place too long but we had plenty of time to walk between stops so that eating 3 slices of pizza wasn't a big deal. My in-laws found the pace to be comfortable for them as well. Scott was a great tour guide and very nice to the kids. It's been over a week since our tour and the kids are still talking about making our own pizza and how they want to approach it given what they sampled on the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to other families with kids. As long as your kids don't mind walking, they will have a great time!

My wife, Kelly & I celebrated our 13th anniversary eating our way from Lombardi's in Manhattan to Nunzio's & Sal's of Soho in Staten Island to Sam's in downtown Brooklyn. Scott was AWESOME!! Everybody should be passionate for one thing in life like he is about pizza. AWESOME TIME!! We will do it again in the fall.
