Scott was one of the best tour guides ever. He made everyone on our tour feel comfortable. Our group ranged persons from all over the Domestic US ages 16-70. We all had a blast and left with full bellies and enlarged understandings of pizza history. I would do it again in a heat beat.

Best tour I've been on!

Scott has so much knowledge about pizza its crazy. Unlike most tours, this one never gets boring. The tour took about 2 and a half hours, beginning in Little Italy and ending in Greenwich Village. He even added a little rock history showing us where CBGBs once was and passing by The Bitter End which is where many famous musicians got their start. I wasn't too sure what to expect on this tour but I have to say I am glad that we did it. It was easily one of the high ponts of my vacation. Because we ate some great pizza, got to check out the pizza ovens that baked our yummy pizza, and saw a lot of the city. You will also walk away with a lot of information and history of pizza and how it became a staple in NYC. Thanks so much Scott.

I can't say it loud enough... Go on this tour!! It was so fun and entertaining. Scott was great and knew everything about pizza. The tour stops at four locations and by the fourth you will be feeling stuffed! It was a great 4 1/ 2 hours and I plan on doing it again when I go back to NYC.

My husband and I had been to NYC before and wanted to try soemhting different. We loved this pizza tour!! Scott is so knowledgable about pizza and everyhting surrounding pizza. People literally stopped him on the street to ask about pizza places because they had toured with him before. It was so much fun and I would recommend it to anyone.

We loved this tour. We had been to New York several times, but this was our first time on Scotts Pizza Tour and we loved it. Scott is very enthusiastic and knowledgable about Pizzas and anything related to Pizzas. We went on a bus tour around Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens and tasted some wonderful Pizzas. Highly recommended for anyone, especially if you enjoy your Pizza.

Amazing Experience......

Yes we took this tour because we like pizza ..... I read some of the reviews before booking this tour and they all told how exciting it would be and what a pizza expert Scott is, so I took the chance and booked it. This has to be one of the best decisions I have ever made.... Scott truly is a Pizza Connoisseur who would extol the virtues or faults of any pizza available in the New York or New Jersey area. In fact he will even get into discussion about pizza over a much wider area ...cue the old New York Thin Crust versus the Chicago Deep Pan debate .....!!!! Not only do you get to sample some amazing pizza you also get a tour of the history of pizza in New York and its impact throughout the USA and the world. With his witty and humorous style of delivering the tour Scott will keep you entertained for the whole 3 hours.... and may even through in a few other snippets of history from New York through the ages... After taking this tour we now have a greater respect for pizza and the right qualities to look for in the right pie. Having left the UK and overdosing on Domino's takeaway pizza it was a fantastic experience to taste the delights of a pie from Lombardi's and with the tour you get to avoid the queues !!! True to his attempt to impart more than just taste tests we were also able to visit the cheese makers to actually see the fresh mozzarella being made that would later find its way onto the pizzas in the local area. Along with the opportunity to view a local workshop where pizza ovens are still made today....who says manuafacturing is dead in New York ....! Although this was a great experience and one which we would certainly repeat I have to say that we were also a little disappointed ..... In that we only had time for the walking tour when after sampling its delights we were desperate to get on the bus tour aswell and sample some of those pizzas in the Borough's ... If this review still doesnt help you decide then take a look at Scotts website or drop him a line..... And if you still arnt sure i will leave you with a little teaser..... There just might be a few surprise gifts along the way..... Thanks Scott for an amazing time and the perfect start to our New York holiday !!! Richard and Becks

My husband HATES tours, I hate walking. But we both enjoyed the tour, it's an awesome way to learn about a couple different sections of NYC. Since it was our first time there we got to experience different types of pizza with out blindly picking a place. Scott really loves his pizza and history of pizza, it really comes across. I'll never look at pizza the same way.

The beauty of this tour is that it's a complete change of atmosphere from the more conventional tourism you find on a city break. Instead of a) planning your own itinerary and b) hauling yourself about, you get the lovely Scott and his patient driver Ronnie looking after you, and all you have to do is follow them around from bus to pizzeria to bus to pizzeria (to bakery, even if the last thing you need is more food). As a result, you can relax, chat, listen and eat. The pizza is good pizza. Not necessarily great pizza - perhaps NY style isn't entirely my thing - but authentic and made with love by family firms, all established NY characters. But what makes the tour is Scott - friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable (although he doesn't bore you with facts and history, you feel he could probably spend hours and hours pontificating on every nuance of pizza) and relaxed. You come away wishing he was your best friend. This vibe also translates to the other tourgoers, and it's all very friendly and informal. Four and a half hours may seem a long time to eat four slices of pizza, but it's just right. It's also a great way to get out of Manhattan, if only for a couple of hours, and the school bus is a brilliant and characterful idea. The tour was definitely a highlight of the trip, and left me feeling warm - and full - all over.
