We had a great time. The group was nice sized and the Scott was energetic, fun and had lots of information. Lots of info about brick ovens, pizza, tomato sauce and cheese. This is a great thing to do with time in NYC. |

Scott knows a lot about pizza and he's happy to share it. Three great, but different slices of pizza with some history and context thrown in to boot. Highly recommended... |

This is truly an amazing tour. Scott is the most entertaining guide, and knows a LOT of stuff about pizza.
The pizza places we visited were incredible, we got to see a coal-burning brick oven and understand how it works. At the end of the tour you can tell if a pizza was cooked in a regular deck oven or in a brick oven. Scott teaches how to read a slice of pizza, identifiying the type of cheese, sauce and crust.
We tasted several types of pizza, from most balanced to cheesy-greasy.
We had a wonderful time, you should't miss this tour if you are in NYC |

First I must say that this was one of the first activities that we have done since my wife suffered a stroke back in December 2008. I e-mailed Scott several times about my concerns and worries and he never once gave any indication that she would have difficulty with the tour. This provided great comfort to my wife. For those who have been affected by a difficult medical condition, the psychological healing that needs to take place is as crucial as the physical healing. Scott did everything he possibly could to make her feel comfortable and include her in all parts of the tour.
As far as the tour.....amazing and educational (in the most fun way possible). Scott is beyond enthusiastic for the subject and this is another reason why it is so enjoyable. You feel like you've just met this guy who is taking you on a private visit to these great pizza joints. We have all been on tours given by a guide who is more interested in anything but the tour - but not Scott. Nothing is phoney. His enthusiasm is not fake. I never once got the impression that this was his job and I mean that as the highest compliment.
For most people, this is probably something fun to do while in NYC. For our group, it was much more. I am grateful for Scott's enthusiasm, pizza knowledge, and attention to his customers - we will be back. |

What an incredible time! We went on the tour expecting to just learn about pizza, but we learned about history, the neighborhoods, and even different types of ovens and how they're made.
I would recommend this tour to ANYONE. It's a great time, and Scott makes it so much fun. If we ever get back to New York, I will definitely take this tour again. Also, the pizza is incredible. In a city with tons of different choices, it's a great way to try some of the best. |

My husband and I had been to NYC several times, but the Pizza Tour was a new experience for both of us. Loving history, the tour was a great combination of experiencing and seeing the history while also eating some pizza. Tour guide Scott had such great enthusiasm for the subject and was so welcoming to everyone. He encouraged questions and was obviously knowledgable of pizza in New York as well as other areas. All the restaurants and stores we visited were also very generous. The tour gave such an expansive view of pizza that we didn't imagine possible. We highly recommend this tour! |

I really enjoyed this tour very much. It was interesting to hear how pizza evolved from Italy to the US and the history of some the pizza shops. I highly recommend this tour because of the history of pizza and how Scott involved the tour group in the discussion of pizza and the points of interest. Scott is also very enthusiastic about the topic. |

We LOVED Scott and his pizza tour. He was funny, friendly and a fantastic tour guide. The locations he picked allowed us to see Little Italy, the Bronx, Queens and Harlem. My 3 teenage daughters and husband said this was their favorite day of sightseeing in New York and we were there for seven days! We would highly recommend it! |
