As a ex-pat New Yorker this was a great way to sample some slices and introduce my son to the nuances of pizza and we both learned a lot along the way. Scott is a savant and very entertaining and enthusiastic.

I purchased the tickets mainly for my wife who just loves any kind of pizza but from the first minute, Scott had us enjoying the experience. He was full of important infprmation, funny, willing to listen to all we had to say, answered all our questions, made the 3 hours fly by with funny anecdotes and knowledge of pizza fom everywhere peoplewho were on the tour came from, even a person who was from Australia! we willl take another tour the next time we return to N.Y.C. It was so much fun, my wife cant stop telling her friends back in Syracuse about it!

Pizza Lover's Dream!

This was my second Pizza Tour I have taken with Scott's Pizza Tours. I took the Greenwich Village Tour last year, and the Crosstown Pizza Walk this time, bringing my sister and nephew with me. AllI can say is that if you are into pizza, and love eating it as well as learing its origin, this is one of the best tours you will ever go on! Informtative, delicious, and you will leave there well-educated on the history of pizza. The absolute highlight is the leader of the tour, Scott himself. I have never met anyone more knowledgeable and enthusiastic about pizza in my life! He involves everyone and makes it a blast. Looking forward to booking another one of his tours soon!

This tour was great not only for learning about Pizza, but also New York. It was a hi-light of our trip because of its uniqueness. It was something fun to do without being touristy.

A fun Sunday activity

My 18-year-old granddaughter and I spent a wonderful afternoon with Scott as he impressed and amused us with his vast knowledge of pizzadom. Don't assume this is a teenager's tour -- she was one of only 3 under 20 in this group. You will not be disappointed and this will be a Sunday afternoon you will remember always.

We had a wonderful time on our pizza tour. Very informative and great pizza! Scott's enthusiasm is unmatched. We would all be so lucky to enjoy our jobs as much as Scott. I would recommend this activity to anyone who loves pizza.

Walk..Learn...Eat Pizza

So many pizza places in NYC, you need guidance. Scott is the PIZZA 101 professor. Lombardi's is the 1st pizzeria and your first slice. Then walk, and eat 2 more slices, learning how to hold a slice and critique your eats. If you love pizza you gotta go, if you like pizza you should go, if you know a pizza lover, this is THE gift.

Scott's enthusiasm made the tour. The pizza education made the food taste better. When we went on our tour it was 35 degrees outside and we could not have cared less. We highly recommend this tour. Great time.

Great Pizza tour!

Scott was so enthusiastic and funny. He made up great jokes and took us to superb pizza places! My favorite pizza place was called Lombardi's, America's oldest pizzeria. Scott took us inside of the kitchen ,and we got seated right away! He has a lazer light which senses the temperature, and we got to see the temperature of the oven! It was really hot! The second place was more like modern day pizza, but it was still very good. Scott showed us how to roll out pizza dough, and showed off a couple tricks also! He talked about the history of New York Pizza, also including Italy. The 3rd pizza we tried was at Johns pizza, where we had to eat outside with paper plates, but it was not that bad eatig out side. The pizza was magnificent, again, more like modern style New York pizza. Anyways, all together it was a fantastic pizza tour, I highly reccomend it. *There is alot of walking involved, so if you dont like to walk, not perfect for you, but I believe there is also a bus tour!

Since I have been on a gluten free diet, my search for great pizza has been never ending. When I heard about the specialty pizza tour, I knew this was a once in a lifetime chance to check out the best New York City had to offer. Not only did I get to sample the best pizza I have ever had in my life, the tour was so much fun it exceeded every expectation I had going in. Scott is very personable, entertaining, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. From listening to quirky pizza songs on the bus to learning about pizza history, this tour is awesome.

Best decision while in New York

Scott made this tour the best! He is incredibly interested and informed about pizza and its history and is able to educate you with his enthusiasm and vivacious personality. While in New York we did all the tourist things like seeing plays, 5th Ave., Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and this pizza tour is definitely one of the main highlights that we will remember forever. This tour is definitely worth the effort and money if you love pizza and have any curiosity of how it all started in New York.

Scott's enthusiasm for his tour is amazing. His knowledge of not only pizza, but mozzarella, dough, spices, tomatoes, ovens and the history of pizza is great. He made the tour fun, interesting and informative. It was not what I was expecting. Be prepared to walk.
