This was an absolutely fabulous way to spend an afternoon! Mark and Jenny are terrific hosts. We learned how to make pasta, had a lot of fun and ate great food. What could be better? The class size is limited to twelve, so you get personal attention. I recommend this for individuals, couples, families. I don't know what the younger age limit is, but I brought my 14 year old, and we had a blast! |

This was one of the highlights of our recent trip to NYC. We received lots of really informative tips on pasta making from scratch, and the pasta recipes we made were all delicious. We definitely didn't leave hungry! I would do it again if I could....lots of fun! Very highly recommend! |

We had an absolute BALL at the hands-on pasta workshop! We had attended the pizza workshop earlier this year, and loved it so much that we brought our good friends to the pasta workshop as a wedding gift. The four of us had so much fun, learned a ton, and ate a crazy amount of delicious handmade pasta in the process of coures. I had no idea how simple making pasta really was - Mark says "all you really need to make pasta is a knife and a wine bottle!" But using all the fun, fancy gizmos and gadgets made me feel like a mad pasta scientist, which was a real kick. We were also delighted by the tips we learned for cooking dried pasta in addition to our own fresh versions: I can't believe what a difference that guidance has made just cooking at home this week - it's night and day! We're excited to continue making our own fresh pasta at home, and totally confident that we learned everything we need to do it. We just adore Mark & Jenny - great carb-sherpas and fantastic people. They make it so much that you'll be shocked how much you're learning. Grab a group of friends, or go there and make new ones, and sign up asap! You will not regret it, and you'll be dying to attend every class they offer. |

I've participated in other cooking classes (with other organizations) and I've found that the best ones are those that emphasize hands-on experience over didactic/demonstration. In this class, the sauces are demonstrated but you do all the pasta-making yourself. Each participant (maximum of 12) gets their own station and equipment. There was a good variety of dishes and everything was delicious. Mark is an engaging and personable teacher, and he brings both knowledge and enthusiasm to his instruction--with lots of tips, stories, and recommendations for local markets. The sous-chefs Jenny and Max are helpful and cheerful. And they also package up the extras for you to bring home. HIGHLY recommend. I wish they offered more classes! |

I took the pizza class first, learned a TON, then took this pasta class. A lot of this class is actually talking about things like sauces for your pasta and cooking technique, there's less time spent on the pasta dough and shaping necessarily. It was really fun to try out various different machines but perhaps it's just that there's more involved in pizza making with a dough that needs to rise and shaping it by hand rather than using machines. |

Found this course to be incredibly informative even though I have been making pasta from scratch for over 20 years. Bello is MOLTO BELLO and a great teacher. The hands on is fabulous and the staff really helpful, knowledgable and nice. We made great food, had a great time, and learned great technique - it was like a party! |

I attended the pasta making class on 10th September 2011 (a surprise birthday present from my daughters). It was a great class. Mark (who gave the class) was very enthusiatic and helpful and we made some excellant pasta some of which we ate during the class and some we were able to take away. My wife and daughters loved the pasta! Mark made the pasta making very easy and I would certainly recommend the class to anyone that would like to learn how to make pasta in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. I am hoping to attend a pizza making class with Mark the next time that I am in New York. |

It was very informative , I learned a lot in a day than i would learn in long time period. He was a great chef and willing to answer all my question even a silly ones . Very creative class . I would definitly recommend. I leave in ny more than 12 years i would never know there is such a nice way spending my weekend day with a group of people with same interest. |
