Loved this class! We learned to make fantastic pizza and had a blast doing it. Only 12 students in the class so you get a lot of one on one instruction. Grab some friends, share some wine, and have a fun and tasty afternoon. |

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked the class.. My girlfriend and I have always made our own pizza (using pre-made pizza dough) and had fun doing it, so I though this would be a fun birthday gift for her.. We had a great time! Mark was awesome; we learned how to make probably the best home made pizza possible. We made our own dough and created our own master pieces! I initially thought that 4 hours was a long time, but it totally wasn't, time flies when you're having fun! I highly recommend this class to anyone.... Thanks again Mark!! |

We really enjoyed the hands on experience of seeing how precisely pizzas can be made!
Every detail was covered in trying to create the perfect pizza, all this was possible only through Mark's personal passion and knowledge for everything 'Pizza'.
We loved the pizzeria shop, which felt very authentic and were made to feel at home due to the relaxed style lesson in which we were taught. It was great that the class size was small and intimate.
We can't wait to put everything we learnt during the lesson, in to practice.
I really believed we tasted some of the best pizza of our life during the lesson! I would strongly recommend this class to anyone, who wants to try something new during their time in New York.
Thank you.

I didn't know if I'd have fun going alone and 4 hours seemed like it might be long, but I had a great time and the time flew! The instructors (Mark and Jenny) were excellent and entertaining, my pizzas came out amazing and I going to try my new skills at home this weekend with my kids! HIGHLY recommended! |

My two daughters and I had the best time...and we learned to make THE BEST PIZZA EVER! It is completely hands on and you go home knowing you can now create gourmet pizza in your home!
We learned what to do, and what not to do... in order to make the most tender dough, how much to use...because pizza is one of those instances where LESS IS MORE, and great combinations to put together! We ate pizza,
We brought home lots of pizza for the husbands...and a dough ball each to get us started on our own.....
It was a wonderful experience...
Thank you to everyone at pizza a casa :) |

My wife and I just spent 11 days in NYC and this was one of the best memories of the trip. We love pizza but have been unsuccessful at making the dough at home. It is usually dense and elastic and not the pizza experience we want. After taking this class, we have been sucessful every time at making pizza that is company worthy and have enjoyed making great pizza with our friends. How awsome it is to bring wonderful NYC thin crust pizza back home to California with us. Mark and Jenny run a clean, fun class with great music and a wonderful vibe. They are perfect hosts that really enjoy what they are doing. This class is highly recommended by us. |

My son and I attended a Saturday afternoon class and the 4 hours went by so fast. The instructors were very attentive and patient. There were 5 students and we had an eye opening experience. I have already recommended this class to several friends if they ever make it to NYC, one is a professional cook. Thank you Mark and Jenny and Mike for a great afternoon. And yes Mark you can use my "quote". |

I received a gift certificate to the pizza making class as a wedding gift and decided to go with a friend. We had a really wonderful time and I was incredibly impressed by:
- Mark's knowledge and running of the class, particularly how he would take the time to explain why he recommended doing things a certain way and the pros and cons of other options, as well as how he's really down to earth about supermarket ingredients to use. Definitely a food geek (and pun lover) but never pretentious.
- the setup of the shop for class--it's not a very big space but it's really, really well thought out, with mini shelves underneath the working surface to keep your notes and papers safe, everything needed in small containers within reach, a staff member who whisks away dirty items almost magically, and the camera set up with a large TV screen mounted higher so that even people in the back can follow along with Mark's demonstrations of technique.
- the selection of ingredients available for making our pizzas (fresh and local items, fancier gourmet items, etc.)
- Jenny's management of two ovens with 4 stones for a class of 12 people, keeping it running smoothly, judging when the pizzas were done, calling you over when you needed to add an ingredient partway through
- the selection of items in their retail store portion, really everything you could need if you are starting from scratch
- how our pizzas turned out! I have made pizza and bread at home before and have never been able get my dough to rise and stretch that way.
Before attending the class, I wasn't sure that $150 for a 4-hour class on something I've done before would be good value but thought it sounded fun. Now, I can tell you it was both really fun and great value for the reasons I outlined above. |
