Everyone should take this class!

Mark is a fantastic teacher, eloquent, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate on the subject of pizza. Jenny is a warm and thoughtful hostess. I left the class with a nice skill set which I will improve upon with practice and a new appreciation for the art and science of pizza - making. Great time and I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone, experienced cook and novice alike!

Learned a great deal about technique - loved that it was so hands on and everyone was tremendously knowledgeable and willing to help. No doubt this was one of the most fun cooking courses I have taken - would highly recommend it for a great evening.

Our favorite NYC experience- SO MUCH FUN!!!

My husband and I had an absolute blast learning to make pizzas and enjoying the instruction and company of Mark and his team at Pizza a casa. We had unsuccessfully tried to make pizzas at home for years, and my husband found out about this place via tripadvisor as a top-rated attraction. We learned all the basics about dough and toppings, and how to make everything at home, without fancy equipment or a brick oven. We did order a few key items from amazon when we returned home- the pizza stone, the peel, a little kitchen scale, but it was all reasonably priced and totally worth it to be able to recreate the great pizzas we did in NYC. I highly recommend this place as a terrific morning or afternoon (do the afternoon so you're hungry for the many pizzas you try and make!).

This was a stellar experience. The team at Pizza a Cassa is extremely engaging and knowledgeable. They are enviously passionate about what they do. The pizza was amazing.

Had a great time with Mark and Jenny on this date with my boyfriend. He's not into cooking but had a great time. Loved the Dough Cam, made watching and learning so easy. We took the dough home and successfully prepared 2 delicious pizzas in no time! Loved the take home spatulas with the dough recipe, that was awesome. Looking forward to creating some unique pizzas on my own. Thanks Mark and Jenny, sending a few co-workers to your class soon!

Must-do Activity in NYC

My husband and I were a bit reluctant to spend $300 on 2 tickets, but I was able to convince my husband that this would be similar to a skipped Broadway experience. It was definitely worth it. We had a blast! We were initially intimidated when speaking to the other participants because of our age (24) and lack of experience, but we soon forgot about it once we got started making pizzas. This is such a great experience, and I would strongly suggest it.

Pizza a Casa hits a Home Run

Pizza a Casa was an amazing experience! We like to cook and have occasionally made pizza at home, but are not huge cooking class people. This blew everything we've ever done before out of the water! Mark and Jenny were fantastic - so patient, helpful and informative! We ate all day long and left full, with 6 pizzas ans 3 doughs for use at a later time. I'd recommend this class, whether you're alone or as part of a larger group!

Great way to spend an afternoon!

My husband and I, our adult son who loves to cook, and a friend who is a professional chef, took this class together on the Sunday following Thanksgiving. What a wonderful way to spend a day together. The shop is set up perfectly for cooking and visiting with the other guests- we all became fast friends. Mark is an excellent teacher with a charismatic personality so it is easy to follow instructions from him. We learned a lot about both technique and selecting ingredients. After watching Mark prepare pizza and then tasting it, we each made 4 pizzas of our own, I would highly recommend this class to anyone who loves pizza and loves to cook. It was one of our favorite things we did while in New York.

One of the best things we did in NYC

Our family of 4 pizza lovers from California (2 adults, a 16-year-old son and 20-year-old daughter) had a lot of fun and easily mastered the clear and helpful lessons in pizza-making. We went on with new confidence to experiment with flavor combinations that we would never have thought of on our own. It was very creative experience and fun to do as a family. The hours flew by! In all we made 16 delicious pizzas that night and finally left content and full at about 11 pm. We enjoyed the experience so much that we are using a photo of all of us with our pizzas for this year's Christmas card.
