I'm slightly biased, as Mark is a friend of a friend, but this class is fantastic. It turns out that my wife and I were making every possible mistake when it came to pizza dough. The class is well-organized, well-run, very tasty, super professional and well worth the money. |

Wow...the pear/banana/cinnamon/caramel pizza is just AWESOME. The pancetta and pepper pizza is tops too. There wasn't any pizza that wasn't good! We made an "Elvis" too...peanuts, bananas, and nutella. Had a ton of fun. |

Amazing Sunday at Pizza a Casa

I surprised my girlfriend with a pizza making class on a Sunday afternoon. Mark Bello, the owner of Pizza a Casa, is incredibly nice. He first taught us about the history of pizza, and then we made our own from scratch.
I do not cook at all, but Mark made it easy for us. A few simple steps, and bam, pizza is ready.
We met some nice couples too.
At the end, we got to experiment with making our own pizza creations. Let me tell you, you leave Pizza a Casa full. Bring your appetite!
Overall, it was a great Sunday and a worthwhile event. |

My husband and I were a bit reluctant to spend $300 on 2 tickets, but I was able to convince my husband that this would be similar to a skipped Broadway experience. It was definitely worth it. We had a blast! We were initially intimidated when speaking to the other participants because of our age (24) and lack of experience, but we soon forgot about it once we got started making pizzas. This is such a great experience, and I would strongly suggest it. |

Fun, yet informative and educational. Since being home, we've bought all fresh ingredients. Never realized just how much difference fresh mozzerella and various spices could make!!! |

Had so much fun! Mark and Jenny are so nice and patient. They have the class agenda planned out perfectly, down to the instruction guide and pizza menu. We were nervous about being there for 4 hours but we were having so much fun making our pizza creations I think we ended up staying even longer. We bought most of the "tools" we used in class. I use them all the time and actually enjoy the process of making pizza now. Highly recommended! |

This class gave us many great suggestions. Mark has so much information about pizza making in his head, that he was able to give us individualized answers and tips about the problems each of us had at home in making pizza. The entire experience was excellentt abd we look forward to signing up for their pasta making class in the near future. |

A must do experience in New York City

Mark Bello is excellent. He imparted years of experience information regarding the art of pizza making. My sister and I had so much fun making our own pizzas. Mark was so encouraging even if my first attempt looked like a big amoeba shaped pizza. I felt like I finally succeeded in making a decent looking pizza on my second attempt. The pizzas were so delicious with fresh mozzarella---especially the smoked one. and with other fun ingredients. We tried a variety of pizzas. We were able to make 4 different pizzas if we wanted and take them home in pizza boxes. The 4 hours of class went by so fast. We enjoyed the company of the other participants in the class also. Mark's wife and one other helper were so supportive of our whole group also. The main thing we learned is that great pizza can be made in the convenience of our own home ovens. This whole pizza making experience ranks in my top 3 things to do in NYC. Whenever we passed by a pizza place in our jaunts around NYC, we stopped and peered in the windows to watch the techniques. We could fully appreciate the art of creating a pizza masterpiece because we took the pizza making class. |
