way to leave NYC with a bang!

it was my last week staying in NYC since I moved in about 4 years ago and taking the pizza making class was definitely one of the most memorable experiences i've ever had! the price seemed a little steep at first, but after i took the class, i definitely felt it was well worth it. the only negative i would say is time management. i think mark talked a little too much in the beginning when he was introducing himself and trying to get to know his students. i think it's great to know the other students, but when the class runs until 10:30pm, it's definitely a problem! also, it would be great if we could get electronic copies of the recipes. other than the two small negatives above, i would highly recommend this class. i would even take it again if i had the opportunity.

The Ultimate Pizza Experience
Sat, May 4  12:00 PM scottsandler Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
I am a pizza fanatic. I have been making my own pizza from scratch for a long time. I am very good at it, HOWEVER I definitely stepped up my game by taking Mark's class. I actually learned a few tricks and the pizza we made was phenomenal. Mark and the staff are extremely helpful, friendly and walk you all the way through the process. The atmosphere of the place is cozy, welcoming and very folky with all kinds of pizza memorabilia on the walls as well as top quality pizza making supplies and equipment for sale. Mark was an art student for many years and you can tell... he puts his passion and creativity into helping others make great pizza. He shows you all his secrets and doesn't hold anything back. Now his way isn't the only way to do it of course but his pizza is as good as any pizza I have ever had anywhere in the world.....and the best thing is you will learn to make that exact pizza!!!

WOW, Just WOW

I have been making pizzas at home for a couple of years and some were ok, some were good and a few were real good. The problem was always consistency with the crust. Mark does an unbelievable job of walking you through all the steps of the crust, with just enough "scientific" stuff so that you will understand the concept. I made three pizzas and they were all great. Went home the next day and made my wife a Margherita pizza and she took one bite and so "oh my goodness, this is wonderful". Two thumbs up to Mark and Jenny.

One of the best kept secrets in NYC!

This was an absolutely fabulous way to spend an afternoon! Mark and Jenny are terrific hosts. We learned how to make pasta, had a lot of fun and ate great food. What could be better? The class size is limited to twelve, so you get personal attention. I recommend this for individuals, couples, families. I don't know what the younger age limit is, but I brought my 14 year old, and we had a blast!

This was one of the highlights of our recent trip to NYC. We received lots of really informative tips on pasta making from scratch, and the pasta recipes we made were all delicious. We definitely didn't leave hungry! I would do it again if I could....lots of fun! Very highly recommend!

Awesome Pizza made easy!

My wife and I both make pizza so we wanted to compare our process to the Pizza a Casa method. We were blown away with the quality of the pizza and the quality of the instructor. We came home and made pizzas using the class process and they turned out terrific. We have thrown the old process out! Thank for making part of our stay in NYC so enjoyable, entertaining and educational!

Useful Tasty and Fun !

Jenny, Mark and Mike revealed the secrets of great pizza making. Starts off with great wine and a meet and greet of the students from all over the globe. Then the hands on specifics of Pizza doe mixing and pie forming followed by simple and wonderful simple sauce magic, mozzarella selection and topping arrangement and combinations. It's 4 hours but you won't want it to end. You make 4 x 12 inch pizza's per person and share among your new friends. Weekdays finishes after 10 pm so be sure you've got a way home as all the businesses in the area are closed and may have to walk 2-4 blocks for a cab. Best thing we did in NYC including Colbert and Walking tours. Well worth the $150 price tag. Plan to bring my wife to the pasta class if not sold out.
