Great Catching Day!!
Sat, Jun 15  9:00 AM angeldelgado Male Unspecified Local Unspecified
Went fishing with my son Saturday 6/15/13 pre fathers day as he had to travel back to college on Sunday. We had a great time "catching", fishing is one thing but catching is the best part. Anyway with a boatload of people the Capt. and crew did an outstanding job keeping us happy. Props to all the crew!! The Queen Fleet is all aces in my book.

A Crowded Eight Hour Boat Ride
Fri, Jun 14  9:00 AM Tutontow Male 50-59 Local Family With Children
As with all party boats you spend more time going out and coming in, untangling lines and moving from spot to spot than you do actual fishing. Even if they had half the people on the boat it would still be too crowded. Our group of four who know how to fish caught six keeper grunt and eight short grouper that had to go back. The boat was full, fifty or so people, and only two keeper grouper were caught on the entire boat. I have been on several party boats and all I can say is never again. I would much rather get a group of four people together and spend $200.00 each rather than $80.00 each and have a great time on the water and have the boat all to ourselves and do some serious fishing. If you are looking for a boat ride and the off chance you might catch a couple of keeper fish go on a party boat. If you are like me and only go fishing a couple of times a year pay a respected guide and have a day of real Florida fishing. Something that struck me as tacky was the fact that when you are done for the day you have to put your rental rods in the corner of the boat and your unused bait in the same general area. Then they start cleaning the back of the boat so those that were in the back have to find some place else to cram into for the hour ride back to shore. In our case the only available place was the cabin/galley which has no AC and was hotter than blazes with no air movement. I kick myself because as a native Floridian who has sworn off party boats I know better but it was a family thing so I went along. As stated above if you want a boat ride with the off chance you might get a couple of fish do this trip. Otherwise get a group together and go on a charter, you won't regret it.

Fun!

We went on an all day fishing trip! It was a lot of fun even though we didn't catch many fish. The people on board were really friendly & down to earth except for one guy(I forget his name.) we did have to wait a pretty long time to get the fish off the hook when we caught one. Seems like they stay mainly in the back of the boat. food was great, being out all day was great. It was an overall good, fun day! I would definitely go back.

This was my wife's first fishing trip, and my 50+ trip on various boats. The difference between the boats are: the boat itself, the crew, the equipment, captain who can find fish. This trip the crew was helpful and very nice, the boat is average, the capt. put us on fish (we caught 21), the tackle is old/average but good enough. Thus, overall 7 out of 10 making it a nice day without issues. I would recommend a full day trip.

I am local and fish with the Queen fleet as much as I can. The system with Zerve makes my reservation so much easier. I do it in advance and that way I don't have to carry credit cards or too much cash when I go out for the day. In the sun and heat, less is more. Make a date , reserve and have a ball with the guys on the Queen fleet.

Very friendly, but over-booked

The trip overall was enjoyable. The weather, crew, and food was great. My only complaint is that there were too many people. The boat has a capacity of 100 people and they will try to book as many as possible, of course. As a result, there can be rods out every 18" all around the boat, lowering the probability of a catch. I went with my father and we each caught one fish. We counted about 60 people on this trip. If we could change something, we would get there MUCH earlier to get the good spots on the boat. People there were catching 4+ fish. Aside from all the lines getting tangled, the trip was wonderful. I recommend taking this trip on a weekday or a day when there will not be as many people.
