Just a good time. My wife and daughter were not big on putting the bate on or removing the fish. The crew just jumped in and helped. That was nice for them and me. Had a good time.

Very cool trip. It's about an hour boat ride to and from the "deep sea" - which I would guess is somewhere between 15 and 20 miles offshore? That could have been a mirage... Anyway, it was a good trip. There was about 35-40 people on the boat. They had snacks and drinks available. When you catch fish, they string them up for you so all you have to do is fish. One very cool thing about this was that when you get back to shore, you can have them filet your fish AND they will point you in the direction of a few local restaurants that will cook your catch for you. I thought that was pretty cool. Anyway, I would recommend it. A half day fishing, some sunscreen, a cooler with drinks or snacks, and maybe $25 in cash to spend on a few things while you're on the water. Definitely recommended. We weren't with kids, but the families that did have them seemed to have no problems. You would think kids would get sick and whiney - but that wasn't the case. Very cool. Also, there are about 50 different things you can do right around this fishing trip. Parasailing, jet skis, anything. So you could easily kill a day or two in this area. Have fun!

My family and I had a absoultely wonderful time on our half day fishing trip!!! I have 2 boys(19 & 15) who love to fish so I knew this would be an activity they would enjoy. The rest of my family are not big into fishing but once they tried they also enjoyed it! Everyone on the boat was extremely helpful-and quick too!! Cody was quick to get our fish on the stringer, help untangle lines, replace hooks that were lost and just overall awesome! He allowed us to take the picture we wanted without getting impatient. The captain allowed us to view his cabin and show my boys the equipment he uses. We hit 4 different spots-and caught fish on all of them! There was lots of room to fish, the bathrooms were clean, the prices of food & drinks on the boat were very reasonable. One of the highlights was meeting Debbie-the wife of a gentlemen who works in reservations. My younger son quickly became her buddy...and Harley's, her service dog. She was quick to offer helpful tips and advice-like watching the short instructional video-which was a huge help to us seeing as we had never done this type of fishing before. I will definitey be back and will recommend Queen Fleet to anyone I know who is heading to Clearwater! Thank you for a wonderful experience and great memoreis made with my family!!

Todd, Frank and Chef Jeff are some of the nicest people we met while on vacation! They all went above what we were expecting... one of the ladies didn't get to hear the demonstration so Todd gave her own demo (and she caught her 1st fish ever in less than 10 mins afterwards!) Another wasn't feeling well and Chef Jeff gave her a cold wash cloth. Frank is a nice guy and kept us happy with cold refreshments. It was very easy to get set up and start fishing, everything was explained well and they didn't mind answering any questions. I thought it was very nice to get an email prior to us going letting us know that the water may be rough and that I would be informed of any changes to the trip. We ended up having Todd filet the fish for us and took it to a local restaurant have it cooked. It was the best fish fry!! and we're from Wisconsin! Thank you all for such a great day and fun memories!

very experienced crew members, lots of fish, for young and old, loved watching my grandson catch his first fish and seeing how everyone was so excited to continue the trip together. Could not have ask for better conditions, the boat was clean and well kept, bathrooms clean and Cody was a great cook.

My husband, son (5 yrs old) and I took the charter and had a blast! Our son did not fish because the pole was way too heavy for him, but he did help reel some in with us. We made sure to bring things to keep him occupied on the boat. We got 2 hours of fishing time and caught at least 10 fish between the two of us. Mainly Red Snapper. We did have them filet some of them for us and they were very good eating! The boat was not too crowded - really no crossing of lines. The crew did a great job of taking care of everyone. Would definitely go again.

We went on this trip last year (2012) this year (2013) and will go again next spring break.Do not bring your own food . The food they sell onboard is very reasonably priced and good tasting.

Disappointed

My husband recently took my two sons and me on our first Deep Sea Fishing Charter. We were staying in Lakeland, but are from Michigan. Thankfully we left extra early, considering the amount of traffic we encountered when entering the City of Clearwater. Once we finally found the booth where The Super Queen was going to be docked we drove around for awhile to find a rare parking spot that had a meter, we put in one hours worth of change. Then walked over and checked in. When we asked about the parking meter, the lady working at your booth told us to put the pass on our rear view mirror and we would be fine. We were all very excited, and after seeing the fish that the other charters brought back we couldn't wait to get our poles in the water. At our first stop, my husband baited all our hooks (which we assumed for the amount of money we paid, would be done by a worker on the boat). My 8 year old son immediately caught a fish, the first one on the entire boat. We thought we were going to have a great fishing day. We couldn't be more wrong! There appeared to be way too many poles in the water. People that were half way down the boat had their lines in front of my family, which was in the back of the boat. The first mate was obviously too busy running around helping everyone else. My husband was not only helping my family, but also others around us when they snagged their lines. Therefore, paying for him was a waste, he barely did any fishing. When no one was really catching fish the captain drove to a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and even 5th spot. My family of four, caught 3 fish, only 2 were keepers during the entire trip. All in all, it was a great experience to go out into the Gulf and fish. But what a disappointment after paying over $200 for my family to not bring home any fish. To add to the disappointment, when walking back to our car, we noticed not one, but two envelopes on my vehicle. When we walked back over to question the lady (not the same one as in the AM), she said oh, you can't park in front of the stores with our pass. We have just paid you over $200 and now we are being ticketed, not once but twice. Her response was, we need to take that up with the City of Clearwater. I just have to say how disappointed I am with your company. Personally, I feel that you overbooked the boat, so there were too many lines in the water, not enough help on the boat and completely insufficient parking. I not only will not recommend you to our family and friends that often travel to Florida, but I will highly recommend they not use you!!!

overbooked crowded no room to stand

the trip was fun for our family, however the boat was way over booked there was not enough room around the railing for everyone to stand, lines were constantly getting tangeled, the crew did a good job of getting around to help everyone 10 to 20 less people would have been much more enjoyable, for just a little more money you can charter a smaller boat and get a much better catch
