Half Day Fishing in Clearwater Florida

We enjoyed the trip very much and we will certainly return to fish again on the Dixxie Queen next time. The first mate was very good and we all enjoyed the beautiful weather. Thanks for a wonderful trip and we will be back again next year.

My husband and I decided to go on a half day fishing trip while we were visiting Cleawater Beach in the beginning of November. We were so glad we chose Queen Fleet! We both love fishing, but this was our first time deep sea fishing. The crew were all very helpful, especially Jeff, who gave us step by step instructions on how to use the poles and the best way to bate the hooks. My husband and I caught about 30 fish between us and were able to keep all but three. We will definately be going on this trip again on our next visit to Clearwater!

Do yourself a favor charter a smaller boat (more expensive, but you will enjoy it more). Don't let the pictures fool you, you will probably not do that well. The reason for the smaller boat is that you really cannot feel if you have a fish on and loss your bait!

The MATE on board was awesome. He was always there when we needed him. He also did a great job cleaning our fish! Cannot wait to come back. The Captain did great driving the boat and getting us to the right spot for fishing. Once the fish stopped biting he moved us promptly to another spot. We will be back real soon.

fishing was fun even thought florida was cold that morning. i got sea sick and my wife caught a fish that the bait shop cooked for us into fish tacos. all in all, it was a good time. -adam from buffalo, new york

The boat left the dock 20 minutes late due to waiting for a car full of latecomers. Granted, the boat came back late too, but we were told to be there 30 minutes before the boat left, so we had been waiting nearly an hour by the time we left dock. And there was only one mate for the entire boat, meaning when we had trouble getting the numerous too-small grouper (the main fish that was caught by all) off our hook, we often had to wait up to 15 minutes or go find the mate so that we could then re-bait our hooks and resume fishing. We were so disenchanted we even left the few fish we caught without waiting for it to be filleted. We will find another fleet next time we want to go fishing.

We had a blast on the Queen Fleet. Crew was friendly and knowledgeable. Perfect fun-filled day for all. Highly recommend!

The fishing trip was great..we took the morning half day trip that left at 8am..We left on time and had a 45 minute boat ride to our first fishing spot...We caught 18 grey snapper amongst the three of us...we fished for about two hours and then headed back to the marina...I highly recommend this for anyone who loves to fish..we had plenty of action..The only thing I Recommend is taking a pill before your trip to prevent sea sickness...all three of us felt very sick while we were boating out to sea and back...There were four people that I saw getting sick that ruined their trip...Luckily I had an empty stomach that morning...and Jason the first mate was great to take off fish and even cleaned ours so we could eat them later...
