5/19/2013 upon leaving the docks ,we were given a brief description of what to expect. from then on it seems we were on our own. we were given nor offered very little help from the deck hands. by no means was the boat crowded yet it was up to the people to remove the fish from their lines as well as put them on the stringers. We also were left to get our lines untangled. the one deck hand that was occasionally around always had a cigarette in his mouth. I didn't care for that especially when he entered the galley. the captain did move the boat often to try and keep us on fish.

Fun for Family,...Fun in Sun..Something different

Trip had pros and cons. I would recommend this trip to you and I would do it again. Pros: Not too expensive day of fun for 3 cost $150. Disney or Universal would have cost $300 plus. You do not need a license nor any fishing tackle. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day. No rain, clouds nor rough waters. We each caught 2 fish. Red Grouper and grunts. We didn't catch anything big enough to keep, but we couldn't anyway since we were in a hotel. We are not by any means fisherman, nor claim to be. The deck hand and captain helped unhook the fish and throw them back in. It was fun,..and we all got a good dose of sun. Cons: Not really organized as far as telling you where to get your rods and bait. You got on the boat and had no instruction. For the experienced fishermen,..i guess you just know what to do. We were finally told where to get our rods, but felt out of place for a few. Captain could have done a better job greeting people aboard or distributed a hand out for newbies like us. It took an hour to get out to fish,...and an hour back. So u only get 2 hours of actual fishing---but they did say that on their website. I would do this again, had a good time. Took an hour and a half from Kissimmee to drive to Clearwater,..but seemed to go quicker. I would check weather before I bought tickets,...I wouldn't want to go in choppy seas.

FISH ON!!!!

From the first drop we were on the fish ended up with 30+ grouper for the day 5 gags that would have been keepers and a few dozen red grouper all short but it was an awesome trip. The gear was a little out dated but worked fine catch bait at the dock before you head out if you want the larger gags I suggest at least a dozen and bring a bucket cause they don't have a bait well for you. The red grouper were eating squid bigger bait bigger fish next I would try some whole squid would have to bring my own they give u chunked squid but would suggest this boat over hubbards marina any day

This is a fun and relatively inexpensive tour to do for all ages and our daughter and friend who visited Zephyrhills from Michigan had a really good time seeing the dolphins and got some awesome pictures!

Surpassed my Expectations
Sat, May 11  12:00 PM KenDenton Male 50-59 Local Family With Children
We were looking for something fun to do with my parents during their visit that would entertain our family group ages 12 to 78.. The web site indicated the cruise was appropriate for all ages and that if you did not see Dolphins your next ride was free. Before we even made it out to the Gulf we spotted 5 or 6 Dolphins that proceeded to put on a show. The trip was the perfect combination of site seeing, Dolphin sighting and high speed cruising. Our expectations were surpassed and the cruise allowed for my family to enjoy a hassle free, fun experience on the Gulf. Only negative is the lack of available Marina Parking. I ended up dropping off my family at the dock and had to scramble to park offsite and return to the dock to board. I would recommend this excursion...well worth the time and expense.

It's always a good day when you go fishing, and then when you catch enough to have some for the freezer, it's even better. Great Captain and Crew that locates the fish and makes the trip enjoyable.

Great trip except for deckhand Tim
Fri, May 10  9:00 AM fdanderson Male 30-39 Local Family With Children
We had a great time, in spite of the deckhand. Before the boat departed my son was catching some small pin fish. He wanted to use them for bait. I took a bucket (there appeared to be hundreds of them, for patrons use), and I asked Tim if I could put some ice in it. Tim grabbed the bucket, dumped the fish on the deck, and went off on a tirade about using the bucket. It put a really bad taste in my mouth. He relaxed a little during the trip, although he was still a *******. Walked right by my sons tangled line after we asked for some assistance. We caught a lot of fish, though. The captain was great. Very friendly and helpful. Chef Jeff was also very friendly, and chatted with us a bit. Overall, I'd highly recommend it if Tim wasn't around. I read some other reviews saying he ruined the trip, but always take negative reviews with a grain of salt. Saw it for myself.

Just a good time. My wife and daughter were not big on putting the bate on or removing the fish. The crew just jumped in and helped. That was nice for them and me. Had a good time.

Awesome!

Very cool trip. It's about an hour boat ride to and from the "deep sea" - which I would guess is somewhere between 15 and 20 miles offshore? That could have been a mirage... Anyway, it was a good trip. There was about 35-40 people on the boat. They had snacks and drinks available. When you catch fish, they string them up for you so all you have to do is fish. One very cool thing about this was that when you get back to shore, you can have them filet your fish AND they will point you in the direction of a few local restaurants that will cook your catch for you. I thought that was pretty cool. Anyway, I would recommend it. A half day fishing, some sunscreen, a cooler with drinks or snacks, and maybe $25 in cash to spend on a few things while you're on the water. Definitely recommended. We weren't with kids, but the families that did have them seemed to have no problems. You would think kids would get sick and whiney - but that wasn't the case. Very cool. Also, there are about 50 different things you can do right around this fishing trip. Parasailing, jet skis, anything. So you could easily kill a day or two in this area. Have fun!

Great Day of Fishing!
Tue, May 7  9:00 AM cmlawrence34 Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
This was truly a great day of fishing. The staff was professional and fun. They took the time to help those who needed it, and took care of everything else so that you could just concentrate on catching fish. Good thing, cause we caught a lot if them......white grunt, red grouper, and gags. Had a great time, and would highly recommend this trip to anyone.
