Great time! Already planning my next trip.

I had a great time. First time fishing in Monterey Bay so the crew was both helpful and knowledgeable. It was a sunny day, the wind was just a breeze and a great day for fishing. I'd have to say I was positively reinforced to return again by all the fish I caught. I went over the limit so the extras I gave to the others so everyone would go home with limits. I will be going out again. It was very easy to make reservations over the phone and everyone at Randy's were very friendly, answering any questions I or the other fisherman had. Highly recommend!

Everyone caught their limit. Weather was great, the tour guides gave us the inside track. No ling-cods but the rock-cods were all keepers.

Went out on the Chubasco with Brian as Capt and Josh for Deckie for a low key rockfishing trip in local waters. Pick of fish was steady but not a red hot bite and quality could've been better. Pluses included a short run, but the size of the fish suffered as the local reefs have been hammered over the years. Needless to say, the boat did limit on small rockfish and one keeper Ling by noon so fresh fish (goal for trip) was had by all. Personally, I would rather pay more for fuel and run farther to get into less picked over waters. Josh was solid as deckie, Gidget (pup) was fun to have around to keep us smiling. Would go again if hunger for fresh rockfish strikes.

Great trip but this area is fished out.

My kids and I had a great time together eventhough the fishing was poor. This fishing area has been over fished and there are only the few very little fish left. There were 3 boats that departed from the same location we did and there must have been others from other locations. Overall to many boats have over fished the bay.

No problems with arrangements. All went fine with exception of various sea sickness cases.

My 12 year old son and I took a half-day trip with Randy's and loved it. Well managed and fun all around. Highly recommend Dramamine for all, but great.

Please save yourself the money and go on Chris' fishing trips. We've gone with them before and decided to give Randy's a try, bad choice! First off, Randy's fishing tour is a joke. The boat drives around in circles in the bay and the fishing is horrible. Nothing but tiny fish. Chris's tour goes out much further, where you actually able to catch bigger fish. They would have us reel up our lines, drive around for 5min and come back to the same location. And supposedly they are looking for schools of fish. The crew and staff. I understand you may be tired of dealing with the same type of people day in and day out, but if you dont like your job, QUIT! I'm not one to complain about bad customer service but the staff at Randy's are the rudest bunch of guys I have ever encountered. Chris' fishing trips from now on!!!!!

The wife and I had a good time - memorable

We read one bad review that had us wondering how our experience would be, so we went in a day early to check things out. This was our first time there. The woman was very helpful and friendly. She advised us to arrive at 0630. The next morning we went at 0615 to relax and have coffee. Seems like we were some of the last people to arrive. This makes a difference, because the only place to set up was on the bow of the boat. The other places were taken. Considering the type of fishing we were doing it really didn't make a difference, except if you get sea sick, because the bow moves a lot more. Guess that's why the restrooms are up front. There were two deck hands that day and when approached, were very helpful and friendly. Oh... the dog (one of the deck hands dog) on our trip was also friendly and we enjoyed his company also. I think that a little more explanation of the event should be explained (especially to first timers) before departure, such as how to set up, how to reel in your fish, how the day will go, etc......We both caught our limit, even though the fish were really small. I took a few pictures, but I was so sea sick that I just couldn't take very many. The wife seemed ok though. We concentrated on catching fish. I might ad that the captain, did an exceptional job to get us to the fish. In my opinion this is an experience that we will remember for a long time. We highly recommend Randy's. The website just about tells you all you need to know to make a decision about which service to use. To all at Randy's - We Thank You

Walked into the office, gave Pete the Zserve tickets, rented rods and lures and boarded the boat. Took off to Pt Sur and caught some tasty Rock Fish. The only thing I noticed was now when you break off and loose your gear, they make you pay 5 for a new rig, guess thats the new economy.

Rock Cod / Ling Cod fishing for the WIN!!!

I don't know what to say, but my brother, friend, and I had a real good and bad ass time fishing with Randy's. To start things off when my friend rented the fishing pole setup they provided him with the cod rig and weight, which was pretty sick. I guess I shouldn't have bought all of the 11 cod rigs that I did the day before because I didn't even lose one rig that day. The boat had a fish finder and the captain would announce when to drop and how many winds to setup the rig at the right place where the fish are, which was really accurate. We stopped at mulitple spots in search for the Lings and other rock cods. This day out I noticed one guy catch a good sized keeper Ling, and I myself caught one but it was only 21 inches, damn it, but still had one helluva time. We all caught our limits still, and had one hell of a meal when we got home. The crew helper, I thinks his name was Josh or something like that was a real helpful guy who helped unsnag my setup from the bottom a few times until I asked him on how to take it out myself which was really helpful. He helped with many tangled setups throughout the trip. At the end you can get your fish filleted by him too for 10 bucks. Super sick day out, and look forward to doing it again with Randy's, Hightly Recommended and good times.
