Cod Fishing Trip

The fishing was good and the crew was helpful. The boat was full of fishermen and everyone seemed as pleased as I was.

Zerve was very easy to use. Everything was explained in full detail.

The day started slow. Not many fish. The captain keep at it until he found a spot that provided quality fish and enough for limits for all on board. The deck hand was very helpful and keep everybody's line in the water as much as possible. Will do this trip again as soon as time and funds allow.

When my party (5) and I arrived at the pier we were greeted by an elderly lady at the counter who was (incharge or registration/fishing licenses) very rude and spoke to us with no courtesy. I felt as if she wanted us to leave. Given it was early and clearly she did not want to be there, but we had been planning this trip for over a month and if Josh and the Captain didn't save the day by being VERY friendly and willing to teach us, then I would have demanded my money back. We arrived on time and was treated with great service at the counter. I have previously been on this trip in years past as this was a trip i took my father on around Father's day in June. Since my Father's passing i resumed to take my son on this trip and brought a bunch of friends along for the trip. The trip out to sea was not bad my only question was in previous trips I believe we drove farther south along the coast towards point Sur. This trip we didn't and its just my guess as to why not many fish caught on trip as previous years but could be due to overfished seas. But all in all it was a good experience that I would reccommend to others.

Great outing for a group of friends. Everyone hit or came close to hitting maximum catch. Great location and views (when not completely foggy) Only draw back was crowded boat (tangled lines every other cast) and no place to filet fish- had to pay.

For the most part, my husband and I enjoyed our trip. We saw that mostly everyone caught many fish. I would like to suggest that a list or notice of what tackle works best for the area. We are river fishermen and came out with too light of tackle and no guidance on what was the popular lure for sucess. We did catch a dozen or so fish so we had fun but would have done so much better had the experts advised us. At least regarding a min. sinker weight!

This trip was for my stepfather. He was sick with food poisoning the night before and couldn't make the trip. We understand that we can't get a refund but wish we could reschedule for another trip without paying.

At first I was skeptical that all would catch their limits since I have heard many of the better fisherman simply donate their fish to the needy. However, I have to say that even if you have never fished before it would be hard not to catch your limits. The capitan knows his stuff. Also the deckhand was extremely hepful. He would walk around helping you with whatever is necessary. The only con about this trip is the legnth it took us to get to the spot. It took us a little over 2 hours to get there. It was somewhere near Big Sur. Bottom line, if you have never done deepsea fishing or fished before, I HIGHLY recommend this.
