Randy’s Photo Expeditions can help you get that photo! We are now catering to photo enthusiasts from the hobbyist to the professional. On our trips we have a professional photographer with years of experience snapping shots on the Monterey Bay and an expertly trained crew to help you get the shot you want for fun or for your portfolio.

Activity Description
Have you ever had great shots ruined by horrible lighting? We do our best to make sure that this does not happen on our trips as we limit the number of passengers on each trip so everyone has “their” spot. Our professional photographer will also be there to assist you with all your lighting needs.

On this 2-hour Sunrise Expedition you will experience:

  • The sun rising over the mountain range behind Monterey
  • Many different landscape compositions
  • Possible sightings of Sea Otters, Sea Lions, Seals
  • A variety of Whales, Dolphins and Sea Birds, depending on the day
  • The guidance of a professional photographer
  • The opportunity to compose and take a variety of photos both before and after the sunrise, as we'll depart 20 minutes before the sun is set to rise
We welcome photographers of all levels, as well as sea life enthusiasts who would like nothing more than to see wildlife and learn about the ecology of the animals we encounter.

Sunrise Photo Expeditions are led by professional photographers. They assist the captains to keep the best scenery and lighting aligned with the animals.

Our vessels are up to 60 feet long, leaving a lot of area to cover. The captain and crew will do their best to get you great shots of animals engaging in exciting or unusual behavior!

What Is Not Included?
Cameras are not provided. You must bring your own camera.
