| Great pilot and crew - as well as office staff. Saw Orcas, humpbacks, sea lions, seals, etc. Followed a group of dolpins. We were able to get so close to the animals, it was fantastic! |

| We went on a trip with Randy's on May 9, 2009. The reception at Randy's shack was very friendly; then we were allowed to go to the deck behind the shack from where we could see the sea lions which was very nice.
The checking in procedure at the actual boat went quite smoothly, the woman who was going to be our 'guide' was very enthousiastic and knowledgeable.
The actual trip was a bit of a disappointment; not because of the staff or the boat itself but only because we saw one whale! However, you can't blame the organisation for this and they warn you for things like this on their website. In our case the probable cause was the presence of killer whales in the area so the humpback maybe went a bit shy.
The ride was a bit rocky as well due to strong winds which caused high waves. The staff were very helpful though in providing tablets and bags for passengers who got ill and they also cleaned the toilet on a few occasions as some of the passengers didn't make it to the end of the boat...
All in all I can't fault the organisation on anything, just a big shame that the whales didn't show up! |

| When we arrived at Randy's they told us that they didn't have enough people for one of their boats. They told us that they combined forces with Princess tours and that we would be going out with the Princess crew and their guests. I liked the fact that Randy's combined resources with princess instead of taking an empty boat out. The princess crew did their best but whales cannot be summoned on demand. We had one viewing of a large grey whale which was spectacular. It was nice day and the boat ride was nice with beautiful views of the shoreline. For die hard whale watchers I would recommend people going out during a season when whales are more prevalent. If your more realistic and understand that animals are animals and do not exist for your viewing pleasure, then enjoy the ride regardless of whether you see anything. |

| The excursion out to the open waters off the California coast was exceptional. The water was blue and clear. Dozen of dolphins, in fact 3 species, made a special show and delighted all persons aboard Randys' rig. We saw many whales and had fun trying to guess their whereabouts as they spouted their blow hole and returned down below the surface. I felt the cost of the trip was well worth the fun and memories that will last a life time. |

| It was a great trip out on the ocean. I think we got closer to the whales than the other boats I saw out there. The boat we rode on the "Carolina" has seen much better days but for the price it was a good deal!
I would suggest sitting near the front of the boat..it seemed like they got a better view. We saw dolphins, humpback whales, and seals. The only thing lacking was comfortable seating and the kids lost interest on the way back. All in All..WORTH IT!!! Check it out!!! |

| The Whale Watching trip was fun and exciting! We saw humpback whales, a shark, lots of harbor seals, otters, and various types of birds. To my surprise quite a few people on board got sick. I would definately recommend wearing Seabands wrist bands. You can get them at your local drugstore for about 8-10 bucks and it's totaly worth it. There are no side effects.
Randy's Whale watching was a great experience, easy to get tickets, easy to find and overall lots of fun. |

| we started out 30 minutes late 2 pm instead of 1.30 as advertised and then we returned after 1hour fourty five minutes, we understood the trip to be three hours long.
we did see two whales for a short while and then returned to port ,the boat that was out at the same time as us left at 1,30 pm and came back at 4.30 pm thats what we thought we paid for. |
