A priceless experience

| My husband and I took our teenagers whalewatching on Randy's boat. It was an incredible experience that I think they will remember for a long time. It was exciting to be on the ocean on a smaller boat and feel the rocking of the waves and the thrill of being far out on the ocean. Then we were able to see a mother humpback and her calfand watched them for more than 20 minutes. at times the whales came as close as 50 feet. I also appreciated the respect that Randy's staff have for ensuring the whales are not intruded upon. We felt safe and well taken care of by everyone! | ||||||

| We rode out on the boat for about an hour and 15 minutes before finding a whale, trolled around for about 30 minutes watching the whale, then an hour and 15 minutes back to dock. It was very foggy so there wasn't much visibility on the ride out and back and nothing to o on the boat. One of the smaller (and cheaper!) boats. | ||||||

| It was quite a long trip out (~ 1hour) and we tracked 3 whales. We saw them blow and saw the fluke from quite a distance but, there were no close-ups of them breaching or anything. So, If you like boating in general and can enjoy it for that without expecting a lot then I would say do it for the experience. Once the boat stops though I must warn you it can make you quite queasy. | ||||||

| Bit of a trek out to see the whale, but was worth the trip. Guess its the luck of the draw on what you see on the day we only saw one humpback but August is out of season I think so not too bad. Take some extra layers as it can be cold on the boat. | ||||||

| We had a good trip - saw 3 humpback whales. The boat got close without ever seeming to intimidate or confront the whale, so we had great views. Not too many people on the boat, so we could all see whatever we wanted. We would have appreciated more information about the whales in general - the total "narration" lasted about 5 minutes. On the way back to the wharf perhaps we could have had some general information about what we were seeing on the coastline? | ||||||

| With the high price of EVERYTHING in California this was a relatively good deal. Although it was a no frills operation, we did see whates which made it well worth the price of admission. I would defnitely do it again. | ||||||

| The Whale Watching trip was fun and exciting! We saw humpback whales, a shark, lots of harbor seals, otters, and various types of birds. To my surprise quite a few people on board got sick. I would definately recommend wearing Seabands wrist bands. You can get them at your local drugstore for about 8-10 bucks and it's totaly worth it. There are no side effects. Randy's Whale watching was a great experience, easy to get tickets, easy to find and overall lots of fun. | ||||||

| The crew did a good job getting on fish. No ling cod, which was the target species but we had lots of action with rockfish. Crew very helpful and the trip was enjoyable. | ||||||

| At last, a fishing trip where you actually catch fish! I had my limit of rock cod after only about an hour. We fished off of Pebble Beach/Carmel area. The captain provided good information on depth to fish at and, of course, finding the schools. The deckhand was very helpful during the fishing and fileted the limit for $10. It was a very fun day. | ||||||

| The water was rough, therefore some people got sick. I feel that the boat should be much bigger to handle the rough waves especially when children are present. The bathrooms need alot of attention the smell of the bathroom will make you sick. I have paid the same amount of money to do the same thing with better accomadations. GET A BIGGER BETTER BOAT SO IT WILL MAKE THE TRIP MUCH NICER. | ||||||

| We had a great time, we were visiting our parents , we are from Santa Barbara, celebrating our sons 25th birthday. Josh made our experience really enjoyable, he was very efficient and competant. There were several novices [including me] on board , he never stopped untangling lines. We all caught our limit but only because of his and the captains expertise. Thnaks again | ||||||

| Very informative and knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Wish we could've got a little closer look at the humpbacks. Did not see any other whales or any dolphins but as with any time you're viewing nature, what you'll see is unpredictable. Overall, a worth while experience. | ||||||
