| Our captin tried to get close to some gray whales but it looks like they are smarter that what you think. I wish we would have been closer to them but the boat ride was nice. | ||||||

| We somehow luckily booked the whale watching trip in between two weather fronts. We saw eight grey whales frolicing around our Randy's whale watching boat. The captain and the deckhand were very helpful, piloting the boat so we could see in a most convenient view and explaining the movements of the whales. We had a great time. We recommend that the boat should have a few more outside seatings and hot coffee - it is difficult to stand for three hours in the cold, swells and moving boat. | ||||||

| The view of the coastline along PG and Pebble Beach coupled with whales, dolphins, and sea lions in the water is phenomenal! This was my third trip and I look forward to more! | ||||||

| It is good to take sea sick pills starting the night before and then again one hour before going out. I did not get sick at all. I caught my limit of fish and then some, so I gave some away. The boat ride was fun in addition to catching fish. | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed the trip even though I got seasick. I don't recall seeing a warning about the possibility of seasickness on the trip info, so I didn't even consider the possibility. I have never gotten seasick, (Bay Cruises, ferry rides and a trip across the Atlantic), so I thought I was immune.....wrong!! We do plan on doing another trip, perhaps one of the salmon outings, and next time I will be prepared with a dose of Dramamine! Regards, Judy Glickman | ||||||

| I fish a lot and prefer a smaller boat, but that being said, I had a great time taking my brother in law fishing. We caught a lot of fish. Captain was good and the deck hand could take some Dale Carnegie courses. | ||||||

| After spending over an hour on the boat trying to find the whales, the crew was able to locate a pair of whales. We were able to see them for about 10 min., then the crew said our time was up and we had to head back. Another boat from a different company was in the same area, and they were allowed to stay an extra half hour to view the whales. I felt our viewing time was cut short because of their insistence on staying within the time limits of the tour. The boat was also rather small. I would go with another tour provider in the future to do this activity. | ||||||

| Staff was not friendly and there was not very much seating. We did not see anything but that was not the staff's fault. The boat ride was okay. It would of helped if the staff talked to the customers and gave them information about the animals or state. It was a silent boat trip on the water. I would not recommend the boat ride for any kid under 5. There was a whole family including a little baby who were throwing up. Make sure you come well prepared for sea sickness. | ||||||

| I have fished on Randy's Fishing Charters before. I have always come back with limits and fully expected that on this current trip. As expected the trip was beautiful although windy and bumpy, but the fishing was excellent and again limits were obtained. If I am going ot pay money for a rock cod fishing trip I always go with Randy's. Mind you I have my own sea worthy sportsfishing boat but am reluctant to travel that far. | ||||||

| In November we saw several whales, but the most awesome sight was HUNDREDS of dolphins swimming right beside the boat! They looked like torpedoes. Great fun. Very helpful & knowledgeable. They even loaned us heavy jackets. If there is a tendency towards sea-sickness, take something a couple of hours before boarding. Even feeling a little "green around the gills" until the medicine kicked in, I had a blast & would highly recommend Randy's. | ||||||

| Two friends and I decided to take a Whale Watching tour while visiting from Utah and did some searching online. I've gone on previous trips, but had never gone with Randy's. We were all very glad to have taken this trip. The captain was very knowledgeable about the area and the animals most likely to be seen. We were able to follow a single humpback whale for quite some time and it even swam with another one for a little while. Both whales breached in addition to just surfacing for air. All in all it was a very good trip and I will go again when I am in the area. | ||||||

| I chose Randy's because they allowed dogs on their tours if it wasn't too crowded and I like to support pet-friendly businesses. The entire operation (from the nice lady that checked us in to the "salty dog" skipper who provided information about whales while we waited and watched) was very friendly. It was clear they not only made their living off of the ocean, but had great respect for it. The one thing they could have done better was provide more info and "Fun Facts" about whales. There was definitely an educational aspect to the trip, I just wish it had been more so. All in all, still a really good time. | ||||||

| This was my first time fishing, ever, and Randy's fishing trip showed me a great time! They took us out onto to the ocean, and taught me how to set up the fishing pole, and attached the bait to the hook for me as well. (I felt kinda squeamish about actually touching the fish. First time fishing, remember!) They also filletted the fish I caught for me, and set me up with a local restaurant who was willing to cook it for me, since I was a tourist who was staying in a hotel. I also met some friendly people on the boat who gave me fishing advice and provided great conversation. All in all, I had a great time on this trip. Highly recommended!! The money I spent was well worth it! | ||||||

| We went on an afternoon rock cod fishing trip. With a skipper who found the fish and a deckhand who was upbeat and helpful we hit our limit in 3 hours. Boat was comfortable, coast was beautiful. | ||||||
