Sunset Dinner Cruise of Sacramento River

We had a fantastic time. We would have liked the music a little louder so our conversation remained private. Both of our left overs were dumped into a single baggie with bread and all. Not so appitizing to reheat to eat. Take home containers don't cost that much.

Our daughter and son-in-law had an amazing experience. They couldn't stop thanking us for such a terrific anniversary gift. Tbey said the dinner was superb, the cruise romantic, and their host was very friendly. My husband and I did this two years ago, and we were very excited to give it as a gift. It is a wonderful experience.

The trip down the river was majical.....they guide made sure we were able to see as much of the surroundings as possible. Even though you're in a relatively small boat, you have plenty of privacy. He docked us up against the bank, and proceeded to cook our meal. Both my husband and myself were delited at how good the meal was. I would highly recommend this as a great way to get out, see the area, and just relax while you drift down the beautiful Sacramento River !!

We could not have chosen a better way to spend our anniversary. The cruise is romantic, private and relaxing, as well as fun and beautifully scenic. The staff are very professional and experienced. The dinner was more delicious than any restaurant we could have gone to (we had the steak). It was nice to cool off after a hot day by being on the river and sharing a sunset together.

The best money I have ever spent, saving up for next trip as we speak!! My fiance and I have been together for 9 years and by far the best time we have ever had. The only responsibility you have is getting there, after that the next 3 hours are relaxing, enjoyable, beautiful, words can't describe the trip. Food was GREAT, had chicken and steak, next time I'm getting the steak, melt in your mouth good. I got the trip for us for our birthday (we usually take the boat to the lake) this will now be our new way to spend our birthdays.

Absolutely worth every penny! I reserved the River Romance dinner cruise as a surprise for my husband's birthday. The only thing he knew was the approximate location, gleaned from a google map. He seemed to think we were heading for the River Bend golf course or the insurance office. Once we pulled into the parking lot, he thought we were going on a jet boat ride. When he saw the gondola, he was really surprised. From the moment we arrived, our guide was polite, courteous and friendly. He pointed out a few wildlife sightings and helped us keep an idea of approximately how far down river we were, but generally he kept in the background and let us be. We completely relaxed and left all worries behind as we drifted down the river. The mix of music was perfect for the event and the food was superb. We didn't know what to expect; I had thought the food would be coming out of boxes from a caterer. But no. It was fully prepared on the boat. The servings were more than generous and we were sent home with enough left over for meals the next day. Everything was fresh and delicious! Amazing to find such a wonderful activity right in our own backyards. We definitely recommend this activity, without hesitation! My husband's comments to me: "Thank you, thank you, thank you for the lovely and memorable BD. It was a relaxing and romantic BD, one that I will not soon forget. I know we tend to go away for my BD but this get a way was just as fantastic. It was like a romantic getaway in our own back yard. It was the bestest, ever!" Thank you.

We were thoroughly impressed by this experience and would have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending others to book! Todd's knowledge of the river and ability to predict where we might see different aspects of nature was really thorough. He was very attentive to detail and in particular made every effort to make sure we did not miss the fabulous sunset that was gradually emerging in the sky behind us. He regularly steered the boat around so that we could enjoy the view and take photos, as a result we have captured many wonderful reminders of that beautiful evening!! The meal he prepared and provided us with was outstanding: well cooked and presented and at that time, Todd made sure we had a sense of "just us two" by unobtrusively withdrawing to allow us an opportunity to enjoy the food, each other's company and the romantic setting of the riverbank and the gentle eddy of the waters where we were anchored! If you love nature and getting away from it all, this experience will really excite you: we saw very few other boats and as a result, the wildlife was comfortable enough to come out into the open and treat us to many wonderful views that probably would normally only be seen by fishermen and river residents; these included otters, beavers, osprey and owls to name just a few!! Directions to find the boat ramp at the beginning were excellent, and Todd returned us to our vehicle after we reached our destination! The whole experience was outstanding from booking, to enjoying and then getting us back at the end; a finale to a wonderful holiday and celebration of very memorable proportions!! Thank you Todd & Linnea, for an evening that lived up to every detail as provided by yourselves on the website!
