River Romance Cruises

Absolutely worth every penny! I reserved the River Romance dinner cruise as a surprise for my husband's birthday. The only thing he knew was the approximate location, gleaned from a google map. He seemed to think we were heading for the River Bend golf course or the insurance office. Once we pulled into the parking lot, he thought we were going on a jet boat ride. When he saw the gondola, he was really surprised. From the moment we arrived, our guide was polite, courteous and friendly. He pointed out a few wildlife sightings and helped us keep an idea of approximately how far down river we were, but generally he kept in the background and let us be. We completely relaxed and left all worries behind as we drifted down the river. The mix of music was perfect for the event and the food was superb. We didn't know what to expect; I had thought the food would be coming out of boxes from a caterer. But no. It was fully prepared on the boat. The servings were more than generous and we were sent home with enough left over for meals the next day. Everything was fresh and delicious! Amazing to find such a wonderful activity right in our own backyards. We definitely recommend this activity, without hesitation! My husband's comments to me: "Thank you, thank you, thank you for the lovely and memorable BD. It was a relaxing and romantic BD, one that I will not soon forget. I know we tend to go away for my BD but this get a way was just as fantastic. It was like a romantic getaway in our own back yard. It was the bestest, ever!" Thank you.

We really enjoyed all of the wildlife and natural beauty, especially evident on the portion of the river south of the Bonnyview bridge. Thew food was great, and Todd is a great host and really knowledgeable. We recommend it totally!

My husband and I enjoyed this lovely cruise for our 33rd wedding anniversary. It was wonderful! Todd was an excellent host and the dinner was delicious. The cruise was romantic and relaxing. We got to see some lovely sights. We would certainly go again.

My husband was apprehensive, but totally delighted! I surprised him with the dinner cruise for our anniversary. This was an absolutely wonderful trip down the river. Peaceful, tranquil; the perfect evening. Our host Jerry was great and fixed us a wonderful meal. We have been busy telling everyone we know they need to do this! Also, we will definitely do this again ourselves!

My husband and I had an ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL evening. We took the dinner cruise for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The dinner was great, our oarsman, Steve, was fantastic and the entire trip was outstanding. We were still smiling and talking about it several days later. It's only been five days since we went on the "romance cruise" and we've already told 3 other couples who are planning to try it. We plan to make this a yearly event, at the very least, and are hoping to enjoy it 2 to 3 times a year. It is definitely worth repeating.

What a superb outing for a special occasion. I would highly recommend this cruise...I have lived in the Redding area for 8 years and had no idea how beautiful, relaxing and downright fun a float through the heart of Redding would be! We saw beavers and lots of geese and ducks, they pretty much join you for dinner while you are beached on a shoal in the middle of the river! Todd was outstanding and provided just the right balance of attention and privacy! We loved it!!!!

It was a very wonderful experience. The trip down the river was very fun, we made our own cd's which I recommend just to have the background music you like. The food was outstanding. Great job on the cooking. I have recommended this trip to my friends.

Enjoyed the ride and the food and will recommend it to friends but it was our 35th wedding aniversary and we did not get our picture taken as was stated in your add.

The food was wonderful, the host was very cordial and very pleasant, I would recommend it anyone. I hope it continues with great success.

We had a great time - this was an anniversary and it couldn't have been better. It wass so relaxing and the food was terrific. A must-do!

This was such a fun thing to do. My husband & I scheduled it for the day after we got married. It was so relaxing, floating down the river for 3 hours, not having to do anything but relax! Our boat "captain" was Ryan who was so nice & accomodating! And a wonderful cook! We had the best salad, garlic bread, bbq'd rib eye steaks and truffles! We brought a nice bottle of wine which topped the whole thing off! We would recommend this to anyone, and we can't wait to do it again for our 1st anniversary!!!

The best money I have ever spent, saving up for next trip as we speak!! My fiance and I have been together for 9 years and by far the best time we have ever had. The only responsibility you have is getting there, after that the next 3 hours are relaxing, enjoyable, beautiful, words can't describe the trip. Food was GREAT, had chicken and steak, next time I'm getting the steak, melt in your mouth good. I got the trip for us for our birthday (we usually take the boat to the lake) this will now be our new way to spend our birthdays.

Everything was amazing, from the boat to the dinner to the ambiance. Don't change anything! It's perfect. Thank you so much. We will definitely do it again.

Great venue for a 25th wedding anniversary gift. We were guided by a multi-tasking, excellent host who prepared a delicious dinner during the river voyage.
