River Romance Cruises

Excellent five star service all the way around! Todd and Linnea know what they're doing, and treated my fiancée and I like royalty. I HIGHLY recommend this to any couple looking for a romantic thing to do in Redding!

I surprised my wife with this dinner cruise for her birthday, and it was OUTSTANDING in every way. Our oarsman Kyle was personable, professional and a darn good cook! All of the equipment was top notch, and the food was excellent. No question this was worth every penny and more. The entire experience was better than I could have hoped for! In our 28 years of marriage, this was one of the most relaxing, and romantic things we have ever done. Needless to say I made a few brownie points on this one! WE WILL BE BACK, and are already planning several trips in the future. So, if you have gotten this far and have not booked a trip DO IT NOW! I am certain you will enjoy it as much as we did. The entire thing, from beginning to end was great...the boat ride was nice and romantic, the food was excellent and the entire experience was something I would do in a heartbeat. In fact, I have already recommended this experience/activity to some people at my job and gave it rave reviews wherever I go.

Very romantic trip down the river. Guide has very nice and easy to get along with. It was a perfect night on the river with a full moon. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to spend a memorable time with someone special.

Well worth it

When we arrived at our Romantic Sacramento river cruise, we were greeted and my wife was presented with a flower with baby's breath and greenery. Great start. Quick information was next, a couple of pictures and we loaded without getting wet and were off. The boat was wide with comfortable cushions all around, completely private from the guide in back. The day was about 104 degrees, but on the river it felt like about the 80's. The canopy provided shade so we were very comfortable. We cruised for about an hour and a half, with Todd pointing out birds, beavers, otter and other wildlife. He was cooking dinner along the way and it smelled really good. The first course was a fine salad with almonds and dried cranberries with some fresh hot garlic bread. Our main courses were a double chicken breast teriyaki and a delicious BBQ'd salmon with lemon pepper rub. Tender summer squash and baked potato with sour cream rounded out the meal. We enjoyed until we were full and brought home fixings for the next days lunch in a doggie bag. We needed some quiet down time to reconnect and feel very close again and the setting and the wonderful guiding provided that time for us. We both want to go again as the time went by so fast and it was a very romantic time for both of us.

We had such a great time. It has been a stressful time for us lately and this trip offered tranquility, beautiful scenery and wildlife, and absolutely fantastic food! The complimentary salad dressing was much appreciated (is it possible to buy it online). Jerry, our navigator, was a jewel -- he gave us privacy, cooked a fantastic meal, and answered any questions we had. He also pointed out things he thought would be of interest to us. We are so happy we took this evening boat cruise! Lance, our pilot, was very courteous and helpful. Our accomodations on the boat were very comfortable with a canopy to block the sun and provide privacy, padded seats, and a spare throw blanket if we were chilly. We took this trip during the last week of Sept. and the weather was perfect. We brought a blanket and jackets but only used the jackets towards the end of the trip as the sun fell behind the horizon. We saw river otters, ducks, geese, spawning salmon and other wildlife. The view from the boat puts a whole new perspective on the Sacramento River than we see day to day from the shore. The trip lasted three hours just as they stated. We stopped and "dropped anchor" along the shoreline in a quiet wooded area where Lance put the finishing touches on the food. This only took a few minutes. Then we enjoyed a fine chicken dinner that tasted very good. Thanks!

It was a very nice dinner cruise that I would recommend to all couples.

We really enjoyed all of the wildlife and natural beauty, especially evident on the portion of the river south of the Bonnyview bridge. Thew food was great, and Todd is a great host and really knowledgeable. We recommend it totally!

Very pleasant, with attention to detail. My wife says that it was the best steak she ever had!

I could go through and name every specific point, but to sum it up, every aspect of the trip was awesome! Very impressive! We enjoyed everything, from the music to ,the views, to the food. Our oarsman was very professional, and made us feel very at ease. We have highly recomended this trip to family and friends, and hope to take the trip again ourselves in the near future.

The company decorated to our desires for a very important 16th birthday outing. Pleasant journey, thoughtful host and hostess.

This was an beautiful way to spend a surprise birthday for my wife. The food was very good and the service was perfect. I highly reccomend River Romance to anyone.
