River Romance Cruises

I scheduled this float trip for my wife's birthday and kept it a surprise. She/we loved it. You ride in the front half of one of those banana shaped flat-bottom boats. There is a very comfortable wraparound couch to sit on, with a table in front of you that swivels out of the way for easy entry and exit. The couch is covered with a canopy that keeps you out of the sun and makes your half of the boat very private. You'll get to see lots of geese, ducks, perhaps beaver, otter, and maybe even a bald eagle or two. The boat doesn't use a motor, so it's very quiet and the waterfowl will cruise right up to the boat. A bowl of snacks is provided, so you can throw bits of it out to attract the ducks and geese. The views of the sun setting beyond the sundial bridge were awesome. We had a great dinner on the cruise -- I had the ribeye and my wife had the teriyaki chicken. The food was really excellent. In summary I can't recommend this tour enough. It's extremely relaxing, very private, and very interesting. You'll get to see the river from a whole new perspective.

Okay, this is easy...My name is Greg. I'm 48 and totally in love with my wife Terri. We just celebrated our 19th wedding ann, on the River Romance cruise down the Sac river. It was Great! No, better than great, it was fun, relaxing, exciting, we held hands, and kissed under every bridge. He turned the boat around gently to watch the sun setting, and it was great! My wife and i talked about everything we could. We laughed, and i got silly. It was like being a kid again. Oh and the food, wow! The food was perfect! I had steak, baked potato, salad, garlic bread, and Terri had the salmon. Cooked to perfection. As the night fell, it only got better. There are blankets in the front on the Gondola, so you can cozy up together. Very nice. He started the music right after we pulled out into the river. Dean Martin was singing "Thats Amore" I tell what, i thought i was the type of person that would be a little embarrassed, doing something like this, but i was wrong. I recommend this to ANYONE who has a soul and wants it back better than it was..I have not stoped telling people about this since we did this on Tues, Aug, 14, 2007. Yes, this one trip, has given me something back I thought was gone forever...ROMANCE BABY!. So, do yourself, and a loved one this favor, and find one night to claim as your own, and get romantic, on the River Romance Cruise. I thank you for this oppertunity to speak out on this. Great experience. Very relaxing and fun. The only complaint was the chicken was spongy and nasty.

This was our second River Romance cruise and we enjoyed it very much The food is great and our host was very friendly and fun. He pointed out Wildlife and fun facts along the way making things more enjoyable. My wife Enjoyed the trip so much she suggested we do it more often which we Intend to do. This cruise comes highly recommended from both of us For anybody interested in a relaxing trip down the Sacramento River With great food and a great guide.

This was such a fun thing to do. My husband & I scheduled it for the day after we got married. It was so relaxing, floating down the river for 3 hours, not having to do anything but relax! Our boat "captain" was Ryan who was so nice & accomodating! And a wonderful cook! We had the best salad, garlic bread, bbq'd rib eye steaks and truffles! We brought a nice bottle of wine which topped the whole thing off! We would recommend this to anyone, and we can't wait to do it again for our 1st anniversary!!!

I had a blast on this date! It was so worth it. We had so much fun and it was a relaxing time that we both needed together. The food was delicious and the oarsman was professional and intellectual. He took care of us and was really into answering our questions. The only thing that was confusing to me was where to go for the boat ramp. I am sure that happens a lot. I was in the right place the whole time. I just wasn't sure. Also maybe a confirmation call would be nice a day or to before the trip. But all and all I 100% recommend it. No flaws at all!

The best money I have ever spent, saving up for next trip as we speak!! My fiance and I have been together for 9 years and by far the best time we have ever had. The only responsibility you have is getting there, after that the next 3 hours are relaxing, enjoyable, beautiful, words can't describe the trip. Food was GREAT, had chicken and steak, next time I'm getting the steak, melt in your mouth good. I got the trip for us for our birthday (we usually take the boat to the lake) this will now be our new way to spend our birthdays.

Everything was amazing, from the boat to the dinner to the ambiance. Don't change anything! It's perfect. Thank you so much. We will definitely do it again.

Great venue for a 25th wedding anniversary gift. We were guided by a multi-tasking, excellent host who prepared a delicious dinner during the river voyage.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone that would like to treat his girlfriend or wife to an unforgettable evening. This set just the perfect mood for a proposal soon after. We both enjoyed ourselves immensely!

We were thoroughly impressed by this experience and would have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending others to book! Todd's knowledge of the river and ability to predict where we might see different aspects of nature was really thorough. He was very attentive to detail and in particular made every effort to make sure we did not miss the fabulous sunset that was gradually emerging in the sky behind us. He regularly steered the boat around so that we could enjoy the view and take photos, as a result we have captured many wonderful reminders of that beautiful evening!! The meal he prepared and provided us with was outstanding: well cooked and presented and at that time, Todd made sure we had a sense of "just us two" by unobtrusively withdrawing to allow us an opportunity to enjoy the food, each other's company and the romantic setting of the riverbank and the gentle eddy of the waters where we were anchored! If you love nature and getting away from it all, this experience will really excite you: we saw very few other boats and as a result, the wildlife was comfortable enough to come out into the open and treat us to many wonderful views that probably would normally only be seen by fishermen and river residents; these included otters, beavers, osprey and owls to name just a few!! Directions to find the boat ramp at the beginning were excellent, and Todd returned us to our vehicle after we reached our destination! The whole experience was outstanding from booking, to enjoying and then getting us back at the end; a finale to a wonderful holiday and celebration of very memorable proportions!! Thank you Todd & Linnea, for an evening that lived up to every detail as provided by yourselves on the website! Very well done, we wish you every success in the future and would very definitely book again!!

This was a great trip. Whether you want a private romantic trip or an informative one, this trip is the one. The food was great and right on time.

Impossible to find due to lack of an address or meeting place or map or advertisement at ramp or GPS info. You are probably losing customers from word of mouth due to this deficiency. (I am extremely direction savy, map savy, GPS savy and can find a needle in a hay stack, have lived and traveled without diffiiculty in many countries that do not use our alphabet , thus only with the absence of any of the above would a place be difficult to find.)

I surprised my boyfriend for his 89th birthday on 9/10/11 by signing up for this cruise. we both enjoyed it immensely. it is totally awesome. the beautiful homes along the river and peace on the river is wonderful. one of the most relaxing activities we have done in a long time. todd le boeuf is a great chef and guide. we loved feeding the canadian geese and mallards. i can't say enough good things about it or praise for todd. we would definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone who just wants to get away for a few hours, have a nice dinner and relax. great fun.
