| We were in Ft. Lauderdale as our husbands were here on business. We are from Orlando and didn't want to do the "tourist" thing. We fell in love with the architecture and wanted to see me. We had a good time and our "MC" was funny and for knowledgable about the tour. We would definitely do again and would recommend to others. Thanks |

| For the price of the 1 1/2 hour tour, this is definitely worth the value at only $17 each (plus a $2 per ticket minimal Zerve charge for processing the order -- recommended to ensure a spot on the boat), especially if you are not from around here and not used to seeing the fancy houses and being out on the water. (I recommend sitting in the back of the upper deck).
We arrived around 5:40 for the tour which began at 6pm. It was cool, around 70 out, and the sun had just started setting as we boarded the boat at 6. The sunset was a beautiful sight (or what we could see of it, because the sun sets opposite the way you sail initially) but set too fast. We went out on the cruise Saturday before the time change, losing an extra hour of sunlight and causing us to cruise into the darkness and the cold by the end of the commentary. Now that the time has changed, the sunset cruise should not leave you in the dark and be much less cold and much more enjoyable.
Definitely remember that you will be on the water and will probably want to bring a light jacket (we were shivering by the end because of the wind and water and had to go downstairs inside to warm up for the 20 minute cruise back to the dock).
About the cruise:
You'll see many stars' homes and the homes of famous company heads, and the captain has great commentary and stories to go with about not only the homes but about many of the yachts tied up along the docks. Don't forget your camera or cash, as it is customary to tip the crew on the way out and they take cash for both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages including Coke products ($3 a cup) and snacks & candy ($2 for a fair-sized small bag of chips). If you don't want to buy food and drinks, be sure to eat before the cruise! A restroom is available on board.
Truly enjoyable despite the cold, and we'll probably go again on the 4pm cruise instead so we can see everything in the daylight and warmth!
Definitely recommend :) |

| The tour was great. I was concerned that the tickets were so cheap, but we had a great time! Our group ranged in age from 62 to 15 and we all enjoyed it! |

| I (a recent resident of Ft. Lauderdale) was escorting my walking-handicapped California friend, and her physician husband, aboard for the Venice of America tour; with my primary agenda of quickly securing a particular row of seats for her as requested of me, to make her feel special and most comfortable (through the pain of walking with a cane for a broken/unheeling ankle). Before I could board, unfortunately, I was abruptly MANDATED by the male crewperson, that I was NOT PERMITTED to board UNTIL I stopped for a group-photo first, which frankly turned me off; especially since I had immediately and politely declined a photo, informing him of my primary intent of comfort for my handicapped friend. The crewperson subsequently engaged me in an obnoxious war of wills, quite childishly; so I, embarrassed in front of my colleague, would never recommend to my future visitors the Venice of America tour, thereafter!!
Sincerely,
Dr. A. G. Terrace
PS. The Captain's narrative of our tour was outstanding by the way, and I personally showed her my deepest admiration with a huge tip! |

| Reasonably priced, delivered as promised. Punctual. Tour guide seemed knowledgeable and was enthusiastic. Made an effort to involve the customers. Photographer pleasant - not pushy. Beverage service reasonable and tasty. |

| The tour guide was very informative of all the different homes we saw on the intercoastal which made it better. They were all very friendly. |

| I enjoyed the riverfront cruise. I think it was the perfect balance between tour and a nice afternoon on the water. The crew was friendly and the experience was just great. The only thing I didnt like was having to line up 30 minutes in advance. Other than that, I would recommend this to anyone local or visitor that would like a nice inexpensive way to see the sites of the Fort Lauderdale intercoastal waterways. |
