Fort Lauderdale's Venice of America Tour

Tour was good. Crew was exceptional. Did another tour with a bit more commentary, but this was informative. Was surprised that the 'real' cocktails had been eliminated.

This was a great experience for us. We visit the FT Lauderdale area a few times a year with our kids and thought it might be nice to see some of the sights via a boat. This trip was nice for a couple of reasons. One, the boat used was very clean and had plenty of room for my wife and I and two small kids. The kids could also enjoy the view on the upper deck (with the nice breeze and sunshine) or head to the first level which was essentially indoors. The crew was very nice and the information presented over the speaker system was very interesting. Being able to enjoy free beverages aboard was nice and the $10 picture taken of our family prior to climbing on the boat was a nice keepsake. Finally, the trip was only an hour or so, which was the perfect time for people with kids or even without so that you can enjoy the rest of the pier area after the tour (plenty of nice restaurant choices within walking distance). All in all, we recommend this boat tour.

We liked the tour. I thought the tour guide was funny and I loved how he invited us to partake in the free drinks and to interact with him. He made the tour a lot more leisurely than some other tours.

The boat was on-time, the captain was vcery personable and informative, the trip wasn't too long and the sights were great! The kids didn't even get bored.

The tour of the waterfront in Fort Lauderdale was fun and a good way to see the waterfront mansions and yachts. If this is of no interest to you, then you might want to skip it. At $20/ticket it's affordable and a decent price for 1 1/2 hours of entertainment.

It was very nice. lots to see. I just wish that it went into the ocean.

It was raining when we arrived at the ticket booth. The man who sold tickets told us that the cruise was cancelled because of lightning out on the bay. We were disappointed and left to tour the little mall nearby. After some time we spotted this same man, who came running after us. He told us that the captain had decided it was safe to take the boat out, and he did so with a group of people too small to really make it worth his while. We weren't disappointed, the trip was fun and informative. We also liked the open bar.

My wife had gone a similar tour with a different "line". They were excellent also, but too long. Maybe they have a shorter tour, but yours was JUST RIGHT. We found the staff friendly and attentive. Keep up the good work. Gary Powell
