The cruise was very nice. The narrative was informative and funny. The 5 pm cruise at this time of year gave you both the day view and the night view. Worth every penny!

House Tour

Bought tickets for our family (my college age sons were in from out of town) so they could see Florida from the Intracoastal Water side. Thought this would be a nice, different tour of Florida off of land. They were bored to death. The Captain, probably very nice man, pointed out each famous/wealthy person' home over and over. There was nothing said about the intracoastal itself! My sons asked why and how was it made, and I didn't have an answer. The first mention of a mansion on the water was interesting, but that was the only thing ever talked about. It was boring. We didn't really care that so and so owned this house or that one. I was bored, everyone was bored. Maybe if they threw in some facts about Florida itself, how the intracoastal developed, how far you can go on it and where, etc, etc it may have been a little more fun. I won't take anyone else from out of town on this one again.

A relaxing and beautifully scenic cruise

The cruise was wonderful. As a local who was doing this with 12 other locals, we enjoyed the experience, even with Captain Curmudgeon who seemed to be a little too cynical about some of the changes that have taken place along the waterway. It gave us a good chuckle, but seriously, he needs some time off to kind of change his perspective. What was first entertaining grew old and we welcomed the change from narrator to music for the latter part of the trip.

Horrible

First impression, I approach the stand to buy a ticket and get info, and the female working was on a personal phone call and I waited patiently for 5 minutes, in the sun, while she finished her phone call. Finally she helped me and I bought 2 tickets. She told me the boat would be leaving at 1pm. The boat we were supposed to be on was already at the dock at noon. That was bad impression number 1. 1pm came and the boat started pulling away without anyone. I asked about that and was told that the water was not working and that they had to fill up on the other dock. Even if that's true then why didn't they fill the boat BEFORE the scheduled time? We all waited and watched as the operators sit around until it was time to leave, then they realize there is no water? We all had to wait an extra 30 minuets in the sun. I complained about that and we were all given a soft drink coupon for one soft drink. That was bad impression number 2. We finally board the boat and the crew was not rude, but the only interaction I had was with the server in the bar next to the captain / boat pilot. They made me uncomfortable because they were in a rush, they were busy and didn't want to be bothered. What we also didn't realize was the type of tour we were going on. It was just a water tour of other peoples houses and boats. Not our thing at all, who cares about someone else's money? I don't care about how much someone paid for there huge home they never live in. If we had known it was that kind of tour we wouldn't have gone. We thought it was going to include geography or nature or sea life, even plants and trees would have been interesting. I would go out of my way to NOT recommend this tour to everyone I know.

Nice tour but boring staff

I was disappointed with the staff and lack of enthusiasm they had for the tour. We arrived 20 minutes prior to the scheduled tour as instructed, but even as it lightly started to rain they made us wait to board the boat until exactly 1pm, while my pregnant niece and 86 year old mother stood in the rain. They didn't greet us until 10 minutes into the tour and they promptly reminded us that tipping was ok. I really would have just preferred some background music rather than the boring, unanimated dialogue. Pretty views but awful staff

Fun times on the water...

My husband and I were very excited about our waterway trip and it ended up being more than we had hoped for. We sat on the upper deck and loved seeing the amazing homes on the water. We had hoped that the seating had cup holders because it was a little hard to hold drinks on a moving boat and eat as well, that's our only complaint. Our water trip was exactly 1.5 hours, they left on time and didn't keep any of the guests waiting. The commentator was witty and we think it was definitely worth the money!

Really enjoyed this boat trip. Was nice to see the large yachts and mansions along the river as well as the large cruise ships. We were lucky enough to see the Royal Princess cruiser. Thank you.
