| My family and I greatly enjoyed the Riverfront's Venice of America Tour in Fort Lauderdale. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the dozens of mansions and yachts that we saw. It was a excellent way to spend 90 minutes while my other son and his girlfriend were at a musical. I would definitely take the trip again and recommend this activity to anyone who's interested in seeing how the rich spend their millions. |

| The "Good"---Take the Riverfront tour and bring your sunscreen! It's a nice, relaxing ride....not quite long enough to plan your whole day around, but well worth the price. Daytime tours are sun-filled, so bring water!
The crew is nice and the Captain is knowledgeable, however, if you are so busy talking to other passengers, you'll miss the humor the Captain relates in his tour narration. Paying attention is half the fun!
Just feet away from the ship are good, outdoor eateries, but food and drink are also available on board. Again, if you pay attention to the narration, you'll have the opportunity to win a free drink with a guessing game. My tour was on Wednesday at half-price, with drinks not included but tours with included drinks are also available for a few dollars more, without breaking the bank! Either way, it's fun.
The "Bad"---Know where you are going when you drive to the boat! This location is not easy to find. Your can park on either side of the river but you'll take a hike if you choose the side near the jail. Bring a good pair of sneakers and have have plenty of change on hand for parking meters! If you park on the same side of the river as the tour is located, there is a parking deck but bring a hand-held GPS unit to get you to the ticket booth!
All-in-all, it's a good time for all. Bring a few dollars to tip the crew and have a good, digital camera in hand and ready to use. Say thanks to the Captain! Remember, don't be sooooo busy talking that you miss the narration and keep in mind that others will miss what is said because you are talking!
As an added bonus, if you have some free time, watch how long it takes for the train to come across the bridge once the warning sounds and the bridge lowers! Hint, bring a deck of cards or a scrabble board while waiting for the train! |

| The tour of the waterfront in Fort Lauderdale was fun and a good way to see the waterfront mansions and yachts. If this is of no interest to you, then you might want to skip it. At $20/ticket it's affordable and a decent price for 1 1/2 hours of entertainment. |

| I always wondered how to get on the water to see the mansions and yachts. The crew was helpful and informative, and the ride was pleasant and enjoyable. I highly recommend this on the "things to do" while in the Ft. Lauderdale area! |

| I would recommend the tour especially for someone not familiar with the area. The crew/staff were pleasant. Personally I am not into the emphasis on the rich and famous and would prefer more of a history of the area, not who owns what house or yacht and what they paid for it. Otherwise enjoyable.
Being on the water was fun! |

| We chose this harbor tour over the others available based on time constraints for our first day. I would say that the Captain seemed a bit unenthusiastic and somewhat fake in a way that implied he was just going through the motions to make the day end. He rushed the tour (scant 1.25 hour) and then asked us to leave the boat quicker cause he wasn't making any money by having folks stand around and he and his crew could be on their way home already or "so he could get home to his wife" (actual quote).
We had the opportunity to take another boat ride the next day and it was fabulous. Their Captain had witty and relevant insights on the weather, the Everglades, the beach conditions, the other boaters, etc, as well as the same fabulous homes and yachts we saw the day before--he made it seem like he was giving the tour to his own friends! Unfortunately the Riverfront Cruise paled by comparison and I would save your money for the other guys. |

| The guide was very good with entertaining stories about the the houses and the families that owned them. I was disappointed that towards the end of the tour two different families turned their little girls loose to run wild on the upper deck and nothing was said to them so we could no longer hear the tour. The tour guide should have told the families to control their kids so the rest of the tour could enjoy the trip. |
