| We had a great time on Bobby Pinn's East Village Rock Junket tour - which included the Joe Strummer "The Future is Unwritten" mural, Charlie Parker's home, Joey Ramone's former apartment, Madonna's former apartment, and the former sites of CBGBs and the Filmore. As Canadians from the province of Manitoba, it was a special delight to see Handsome Dick Manitoba's bar in the East Village (called "Manitoba's").
Bobby knows his music and loves to talk; he'll remind you of the punk older brother you had who always had more records and knew more about them than you. His knowledge and taste are impeccable, and he even made me believe that I should give Iggy's Avenue B album another listen. Wow!
At the end of the tour, Bobby gives you a brochure with "things to do" recommendations, including having an egg cream from the Gem (on Second Avenue at St. Mark's Place) and riding the Cyclone at Coney Island, which turned out to be two other big highlights of our trip.
We went on the tour on a very hot day. If you do, bring some water and even a snack, so you can stand for two hours without falling over.
Looking forward to taking another one of Bobby's tours on the next trip.

| Bobby's a first rate storyteller and even brought visual aids (albums, vintage photos) to flesh out some of the locales, which is a good thing because, frankly, there's not a whole lot to really look at on this tour. There are a couple exceptions - Led Zep fans are in for a treat - but for the most part Bobby's recreating scenes that arent there any more. Fillmore East is now a bank and CBGBs and their iconoclastic awning are both long gone. It's a tough job, and he does it admirably.
Aside from a brief speech about gentrification in the Bowery, this was a 99% music tour, as advertised, but I probably wouldve enjoyed it more if Bobby wove in addtl non musical 'hood history with his fond tales of who vomited on whom back in the day. For example, we walked right by Cooper Union, which is a pretty remarkable place historically and socially, with nary a comment.
This tour lured me to a neighborhood I'd likely not explore on my own anytime soon, so that was worthwhile and interesting. It was real hot, and that took some steam out of my middle aged bod, but on a cool, breezy day, this would make for a reasonably fun, offbeat way to kill a couple hours. |

| I am 45 years old my daughter is 18. We are both fans of punk rock because I lived in the era and my daughter just thinks it's really cool. She went into the tour knowing a lot more than me about the bands, venues, etc. However, we both learned so much! It was so interesting and fun. It was certainly not touristy and not sugar coated. If you're a true punk rock fan, this is the tour for you. Trust me, you may think you know it all....but you will learn a lot. Bobby Pinn was the best tour guide ever. And....he'll take you to a pub after if you'd like to keep talking. I would not, however reccomend this tour if you are looking for the little old lady historical tour. It gets a little graphic, but it's real and we LOVED it! |

| We had a terrific time on this tour. It was a Father's Day gift for my husband and he loved it! The walk through the East Village was educational, as we knew very little about this area of the City. I highly recommend the tour. |

| I would glady go on another one of his tours in a heartbeat! Time flew by as we walked around the East Villlage. Plus, he made sure we ended at the scheduled time, so if you had to do anything else that day you wouldn't be rushing. I'd love to go back again and visit places Bobby Pinn recommended. Any fan of rock music would love this tour; it's educational & fun to visit where legendary places existed. The next time I go back to NYC I'm going on another one of these tours & bringing friends with me. |

| The best thing about this tour is it goes around to all sorts of places i would never have found or recognised if i had not been on the tour. old classic venues are now shops and banks. and the other great thing about the tour is the tour guides stories - they bring the locations alive - interesting engaging and entertaining. I would reccommend this for any fans of this era of New York music. |

| We had already done a fair bit of exploring in the East Village before taking this tour, but the two hours we spent doing this were great. We found out that we had walked right past several sites that we would have never known what they were or what had happened there if we hadn't taken this tour. I love Led Zeppelin and the Stones and my 14 year-old son loves the Ramones, so we had a blast visiting places and hearing stories about them. Bobby was cool and this turned out to be one of our favorite things that we did while in NYC. |

| The Rock Tour was a lot of fun. Bobby Pinn loves rock and you can tell by his youthful enthusiasm and bleach blonde hair. As a twenty something I enjoyed the tour as much as my 50 year old dad would have. He covers classic rock to punk and shows you landmarks you would've just walked by without knowing it was there. This tour truely rocks and I highly recommend it! |

| The tour was very informative and highly entertaining. Bobby (the tour guide) clearly knows his music history and the associated landmarks of the East Village. In addition to the RnR component of the tour, it was nice walking the area with someone that's a local resident. My wife and I had our son with us (he's 15). He enjoyed the tour as well. |
