Sensational times! The guide knew his stuff! It was super interesting and definitely gave me a new appreciate of New York. People take for granted all of the amazing music (as well as other) that has gone down on our very streets. I would most definitely recommend it!

Punk Rock and Egg Cream

It was Bobby Pin (good name by the way) who took my son and I on the tour, unfortunately we could only do the first hour due to unforseen problems on our part but I would recommend this tour to any one interested in the history of punk. The knowledge and the obvious love of music that Bobby has shone through and should we ever be lucky to visit New York in the future I would definitely go on the tour again. My son who is eighteen could`nt stop talking about the experience and is now downloading The Ramones, Television, The New York dolls. Heck we even went back to the Gem Spa for an egg cream?

Very entertaining. Bobby Pinn is the real deal. His enthusiasm and affection for the people and places of the East Village make this a great way to spend a couple hours learning about an era that is slowly fading away. My wife and grown children loved it.

I really enjoyed the tour,it was my first time to NY and loved discovering all about the Village and the characters who live/lived/performed there.Bob was a fountain of knowledge and I didnt feel silly asking questions;he was only delighted to answer them.I even managed to win myself a CD, thanks.I've told loads of people about the tour and will continue to do so.Thanks a million.Keep on rockin Love Orla

This was for the most part an interesting tour. The guide really did his research and gave an entertaining talk. He kept things interesting with trivia questions and prize giveaways. My only complaint is that there is one stretch of the tour (towards the end) where we walked several blocks with nothing to see/talk about. I understand why he wanted to end at the former CBGB's site, but he needs to either redo the route or find some more interesting stuff along the way. I felt that he could have talked about the Hells Angels block and gone into detail about the assassination attempt on Mick Jagger's life, for instance. Also - in the beginning he told us we could all go have a beer with him afterwards, but at the end of the tour he just vanished with a friend.

The tour was led by someone with excellent knowledge. He provided some good historical contexting which went beyond the subject of the tour, but placed the area and subject in relationship to the rest of New York. This created broader appeal. He also had excellent visual aids to provide the history.
