i'm not much of a punk rock junkie, but my boyfriend absolutely is. you'd think this would make the tour boring for me, but we actually both had a ton of fun and learned a lot about bands and their influence on the city. the day after the tour, we were walking around east village and it was awesome to feel a little bit more knowledgeable about the area. highly recommended!

This was fantastic and really interesting. Particularly liked the genre spanning nature of the places visited. Only suggestion would be to talk about the current rock and punk scene in New York a bit, as you get the impression sometimes that everything died when CBGBs closed - not so! - we saw a couple of great Brooklyn bands while we were in town.

My husband and I probably picked the windiest day of the year to take the tour. However, we didn't mind and had a great time on the tour. Learned a lot about the music history in the area and got to see some great sights - definitely worth it if you are looking for something new and fun to try in NYC. We hope to try another tour by Rockjunket in the near future.

I wanted to plan something to do for my boyfriend that was different that your typical touristy NYC tour. This was great! My boyfriend is a huge music person and especially a rock n' roll kind of guy so he loved it! Bobby knew his stuff and he made the tour very interesting. I would definitely recommend this!

I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the history of the East Village rock/punk scene - our tour guide Bobby Pin was really genuinely interested in the history and showed us a lot of sights that i'd passed by many times before, but never knew the history behind the location (fillmore east, gem spa, the mosiac lightpoles) It's really sad that most of the great clubs and venues in the area are gone, and St Marks is a shell of what it used to be.. but you get a real sense of what it was like back in the heyday We enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in music!
