Rock n Roll!
Thu, Jun 17, 10   1:00 PM Ltirre67 Female 40-49 International Tourist(s) Group of Friends
We were a group of 4 NYC music enthusiasts that went on this tour with Bobby Pinn. We had a great afternoon and Bobby pointed out so many places that we knew about but wouldn't have found without his help. Bobby lead us round the streets of East Village and each stop point was peppered with a tale or two. If you love rock n roll music, you'll love this!

What Bobby Pinn doesn't know about the rock & punk scene in New York isn't worth knowing. He was an absolute font of knowledge and really made the music and artistic history of the East Village come alive for us. And yes, the egg creams from Gem Spa are fantastic and VERY addictive - will definitely be making these back home in Australia! An entertaining and enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours and well worth the cost - highly recommended!

Brilliant tour, enthusiastically and authoritatively presented. Very interesting and visited places the "rookie" tourist would never find. Plenty of photo opportunities.

a MUST SEE tour for any rock n roll enthusiast!

i was looking for something special to do for my fiance's birthday (he's a musician and photographer) and stumbled across the rock junket website. after reading the reviews and bobby pinn's biography, i booked the tour and also booked a night at the chelsea hotel to capture the whole rock and roll feeling. it was everything and more that i had hoped it would be. while my fiance is the rock n roll enthusiast, i was equally intrigued with the tour. bobby's knowledge and delivery of the landmarks, events, and bands was awesome. the tour was two hours, but we could have hung out with him all afternoon. he has a personality that draws you in and makes you feel like you're old friends; and his stories about the bands, venues and events are so detailed that you feel like you were a part of it all. i highly recommend these tours to anyone interested in the history of rock and roll. thanks again, bobby!

Hey! Ho! Let's Go! Great tour...
Fri, Apr 30, 10   1:00 PM Lramones Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
I highly recommend this tour. It far exceeded my expectations. I figured that with a lot of the old buildings turned into something else (for example, the Fillmore is now a bank) how interesting could this be? But Bobby Pinn is so informative and engaging that you're transported back to a time when the Allman Brothers were rockin the house, when Andy Warhol ran a crazy psychedelic club, when the Ramones ruled the neighborhood. If you're a rock and/or punk fan, then Gabba hey - this tour's for you.

A GREAT NYC-EXPERIENCE – ROCK JUNKET TOUR
Tue, Apr 27, 10   12:30 PM goodword Female 40-49 International Tourist(s) Other
Rock Junket arranged a fantastic customized tour for us, presenting the sites and events of Andy Warhol, Velvet Underground and the related art and rock-crowd . The tour definitely took our experience of NYC to a higher, mind blowing level! Mr Rock Junket himself - the brilliant Bobby Pinn - combines the finest qualities as a guide and host: an in-depth knowledge, a superb presentation of interesting facts and a fantastic way of making the most out of his truly well-composed trail for the tour. Everything presented with a rockīn roll attitude so nice that anyone and everyone would enjoy hanging out with him. The Rock Junket tour also proved to be a perfect and unique opportunity for us to get to know parts and aspects of NYC which we never would have had a chance to find or enjoy on our own. No doubt that Bobby Pinn is the ultimate source of NYC-rock history but his knowledge of the city from a broader perspective is as profound. Just keep your ears and eyes open and you will learn more than you ever expected. If you have a special area of interest, like we had, we recommend that you give Pinn a hint and he will plan a fabulous customized tour for you. Also donīt forget to buy his guide book - highly recommended. Rock on! /Annika (Communication officer, Liljevalchs konsthall) and Marcus (Art Director, AGoodId), Stockholm, Sweden PS. If we ever get our hands on a shiny medal we will for sure award Bobby Pinn for "Outstandning Efforts of Life Support for Rock History"

One of the highlights of the trip

Our guide Bobby Pin was excellent. He was really informative and gave lots of description about the different places we visited and the musicians discussed. We all came away feeling really informed about bands and artists from the 70's. It's one of those tours that leaves you wanting more in a good way - I want to add all the bands we talked about to my ipod straight away and look at the album covers featured on the tour!

I was looking forward to this tour for a long time and it was a real treat. So many places,so many stories. It was great to see the locations how everything is so near to each other. We met Jimmy Webb outside his shop, what a timepiece he is, you can only imagine the life he leads , and the stories he can tell.It was great to see what remains of CBGBS.I also went inside which gives you an idea of the size of it .I would highly recommend the walk,it was the highlight of my 3 day stay.

While the tour is visually a little bit disappointing since most of the landmarks have now been modified, the guide, an authentic rock fan, is really interesting and a really good comunicator. The tour is really well researched and full of anecdotes and interesting details that could not be identified without the guide. While a tiny bit expensive, I had a great two hours and think it was worth every penny. Thanks again

Thorough and Knowledgable

Bobby Pin was able to explain the ins and outs of the Punk Rock neighborhood of St. Marks and the East Village. Sharing stories and personal experiences, Bobby's breadth of the Punk scene brought me to visualize the time and place, the necessity of the Punk movement that has become so watered down in today's mainstream music scene. Constantly moving and informative, it seemed like every building had a story, and every street a smell. I came into the tour with a handful of names and left with information to brag about to my buddies at home. Really a blast!

It was thrilling to see the site of the Fillmore East and album cover for Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffitti. I also learned much about The Ramones and other punk groups.
