| I brought my 13 year old son with me and we both had a blast. Bobby Pinn was knowledgable and really seemed like a fan of the music, which made it even better, it wasn't just some rehashing of punk history by someone who could care less. Bobby also took some great photos of my son and I which was a plus and one picture of us in front of the great Joe Strummer mural, Bobby said "fridge magnet" and indeed it is! Ha! Thanks! | ||||||

| If you only like current music or mainstream rock you prob won't get much out of it because many of the stories & sites will be about people you've never heard of. But for people who grew up & really know about Warhol, the Ramones, CBGB's, Iggy Pop, etc this tour is fabulous. :) | ||||||

| A very enjoyable and informative tour. Bobby Pinn is a fantastic guide, an enthusiast who knows his subject and delivers the goods with humour and insight. If you're a punk / glam rock fan this tour is for you, but anyone interested in the NY music scene over the last 40 years will get a lot out of this tour. Sure, you could Google all this stuff - but you won't be standing on the spot, with Bobby telling you his stories about the people who lived and played around the area. Unbeatable! | I had an opportunity to spend a week with my 17 year old son and his friend in NY over spring break. This was the 3rd trip to the city for them and they took the opportunity to look for the unusual not the typical tourist attractions. They decided that a trip around the east and west villages seeing and expierencing the culture and history of the music gendre would be great. We spent the first afternoon with the greatest tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable and took us through the 1960's through the 90's. My Son was so inspired! He spent the next two days in the village researching all the history. I know he did not get to it all but he is now on a mission to learn more about the times and to experience/see what it was all about. I want to thank you for the tour and would recommend this to anyone who is interested in rock/punk history. | ||||||

| My teenage son and I enjoyed the Rock Junket tour through the East Village. We were the only ones on the tour so we were able to ask lots of questions. Our guide was knowledgeable, organized and well prepared with photos, album covers and trivia questions and kept the tour moving along. I would recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in NYC's rock history . I would consider going on the Bob Dylan tour the next time I'm in the city. The guide gave us a brochure of some favorite spots to visit after the tour and we had a lot of fun at Generation Records. | ||||||

| This was a good tour with a great guide - I didn't know who all the bands mentioned really were but it was an interesting delve into New Yorks punk history. The highlights were probably - Led Zeppelin album cover location and CBGBs, and also many of the guide's stories were interesting titbits I wouldn't have found out otherwise! I would recommend taking this tour if you already know a bit about the history and I would definitely recommend taking it before Aug/Sept when CBGBs is due to close as it's a great place to finish off the tour! It's also a great way to get better acquainted with the East Village and some of New York's history in general. I found it really helpful that the guide also put together a list of shops/bars etc that you might want to return to / visit with all the addresses on, I'd never have remembered where everything was otherwise! | We've just arrived back in Scotland from our vacation in New York and I have to say that the Rock Junket Tour was our personal highlight. For all you music fans and in particular fans who are interested in where punk originated from it was quite fascinating. My partner and I are both massive Ramones fans and it was fantastic to see where they lived & hung out etc. We didn't even realise Joey had a street named after him! It was great to see CBGB's as we had read and heard so much about it from books etc. So, to actually be there, standing outside it was something else. There were many interesting artefacts on the tour, things which we found particularly interesting were Iggy Pop's flat and where he walked his dog, the Joe Strummer mural, the Continental where all the bands played and Joey had his birthday parties, where Madonna lived before she became famous and of course all the Ramones stuff. May I also say that the guy who takes the tour, Bobby Pinn, is a really knowledgable person who certainly knows his stuff when it comes to the New York music scene. He's a really cool guy too and very friendly. So Bobby, if you ever read this and decide to carry out your dream to play golf on the Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland, you can drop us an email and we'll catch up with you for a beer!! | ||||||

| I thoroughly recommend this tour if you are even slightly interested in the rich musical and artistic history of the East Village. The tour guide is knowledgable and engaging, and importantly seems to be a hell of a nice guy. He's a great source of local knowledge so not only do you get an informative and entertaining history of the area and it's notable sights and buildings, but he can also assist with any other question you would have as a visitor to NY. If the names Iggy Pop, New York Dolls or Ramones mean anything to you then you will love this tour. | ||||||

| Met with guide Bobby Pinn at the time/place previously advised. Bobby was well informed, friendly and happy to answer any questions at any time throughout the tour, and provided photos and album covers to illustrate various stages of the tour. Anyone with more than a passing interest in 70's New York music should definitely take one of his tours(mine was the East Village tour). When I am next in New York I shall go on another one, as it is money well spent and 2 of the best hours during my stay. Well done Bobby Pinn and Rockjunket.com! Dave, London. | ||||||
