Roll With It! Segway Guided Tours

It was fun driving the Segways around downtown Tucson, but it was annoying being treated by the two guides(owners) like 6 year olds on the tour. Constantly being told to duck trees, watch walls, watch bumps, got real tiresome after the first hour of the tour. We had enough intelligence after the first 30 minutes to watch for low trees, etc. Also it seemed we took way too many breaks during the tour and yet the tour still ended up being almost 30 minutes short on the advertised time of 2.5 hours. Of course had we not taken all those breaks then the tour would have been another 1/2 hour shorter. Also it would have been better had we been able to communicate with the tour leader during the tour as the thier radio system was only one way. We think the owners should re-valuate their route to encompass more areas(such as historic homes) so as to have the tour go its advertised length. They should also watch the participants abilities during the first part of the tour to see if they need to constantly remind them to watch out for this and that.. They should also ask their clients if they need breaks. Finally, I don't believe that owners of an enterprise should be hinting to be tipped. Tipping protocol is usually reserved for employees. The only reason I don't put a non recommendation on this tour is that riding the Segways is an unique experience. It is also a great avenue for walking challenged persons to see downtown Tucson.

What a unique method of seeing a city! We did the tour almost a week ago and we're still talking about how much fun it was. The narration was interesting and the route gave us a very good feel for the historic neighbourhoods tucked off of the main routes. We really felt like we were seeing the city through the eyes of a local (rather than feeling very much like tourists) and the milkshake at the end was delicious. The Segway's were very easy to ride and Denise was professional and safe. Would highly recommend this to anyone!!

Riding a Segway had been on my "bucket list" for a long time, and I am glad I finally had the opportunity to do it. There is considerably more to riding one of these machines than you might think, but the instruction given to all riders is thorough and complete. The ride itself was fun, and we saw areas of Tucson that I had never seen before--even though I have lived near for more than 10 years. If you are looking at something totally unique to do, I'd put this on top of the list. The owners of the tour are friendly and helpful.

This was my first experience with/riding a segway. The 'quick lesson' was great and I was very confident before the tour began. Next time I'm in Tucson, I will DEFINITELY be on another "ROLLWITHIT" tour! Thank you for the awesome experience... :-)

My husband and I had a great time. The tour leader was lovely- friendly, polite and really knew her stuff when it came to the Segways. Her instructions were clear and easy to follow and she had us feeling confident using the Segways very quickly. She was also very knowledgeable about the area and her friendly and humorous manner made the tour very enjoyable. Riding the Segways meant we were able to travel much farther than we could have done on foot and it was really fun to ride them. The milkshake at the end was yummy! I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to try something new and different.

Denise was a great trainer and tour guide. Segways were easy to ride and a lot of fun. Would highly recommend the tour to anyone.

Riding a Segway was on my "Bucket List" for a long time. I saw a group on tour near downtown Tucson and called that same week to get on a tour. It only took 5-10 minutes of instruction to get the hang of standing still and moving around - making turns and having the machine under my control. I was amazed at how stable the ride was - it's easy to control and just pure fun to ride. I plan to take the family on a tour when then come to town next. It's a Nike thing -- Just Do It!

Good training for segway. Interesting tour. Fun vehicle to ride. Easy to master. Enjoyed it a lot.

We have taken two couples on this tour, and each time have really enjoyed it. Denise and Stu were very thorough in their instructions on how to use the Segways, and made sure that everyone was comfortable before we started out. The tours were not only very informative but lots of fun as well. The first couple we took were in their late 40's and the second couple were in the mid 70's. Both couples had a really good time, and had no problems mastering the Segways. We are having more company and intend to take them on this tour as well. We highly recommend this activity to all ages. Our thanks for an enjoyable day.

We had a great tour and our guides were great. We will definately book it again when we return to Tucson and we recommend it for all ages.

My husband and I took this tour to learn more about Tucson and to try out segue travel. We loved the tour and learning how to use the segue. The training was just right (not too little, but not too much). The sites we got to see were important to understanding Tucson. We traveled about 5 miles - which is much more than you would get to experience in a normal walking tour. We will go back and do it again - and look for segue tours in other cities.

We are in our 60s and have my wife's brother and family (two adults, two sixteen year olds and one eighteen year old) in Tucson for the holidays. I had been wanting to take the Roll With It tour for some time and I thought it would be a good activity for our whole group. They were enthusiastic about the idea; so I signed us up. Everything went smoothly and we had a wonderful tour around the city with emphasis on the University of Arizona and the historic neighborhoods and business areas around the University. The tour was wonderful. Learning how to and then riding the Segways was just FUN; the leaders of the tour were interesting, very knowledgeable (both about teaching riding Segways and the historic areas) and patient. We would do it again and recommend it to all.

Lots of fun. Good equipment and very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I had never been on a Segway, looked like fun so we tried it. My wife can't ride a bicycle, and is challenged by the TV remote control. In 15 minutes of great instruction from Denise, she was riding like a Pro. Really enjoyed the U of A campus, and student reaction to the Segway tour, and learned quite a bit of local history. One of the nicest afternoons we've had in Tucson!

My party of three from the UK had no previous experience of a Segway, but the boss, Danielle, soon demonstrated and explained procedures so that in a very short time we were riding safely and enjoyably. We were all agreed that it was a rewarding experience, and worth repeating in the future.
