All 8 if us loved it!

My husband and I have a home in Oro Valley and invited some Cleveland and Denver friends to join us for a long weekend. They were all apprehensive about doing a Segway but willing to give it a try. We decided on the Rock-n-Roll tour and had a fantastic time! We would suggest this to anyone wanting to do something a little different and plan on doing it again with another group of friends who will be joining us next winter. Loads of fun and easy to do after a short class. Thanks!! PS: Great milkshake at the end of the tour!!

What a great experience!

We very much enjoyed our tour of Tucson on the Segway vehicles. While none of us had ever been on a Segway before, with a short training session we were soon operating them with comfort. The Tour was informative and fun for all, including our 17 year old son. This is a fun and exciting way to see the sights.

We enjoyed this so much! It was something different, very different to do. The staff was very safety conscious and helpful. We would definitely do this again.

Enjoyable but room for improvement

Group liked riding Segway. Thought the leader could have put less emphasis on his personal experiences. Would have preferred to learn more about local history and less about U of A.

We were in Tucson only for the weekend (Fri-Mon) and signed up for the Presidio Tour on Sun (weather cancelled it). The owner was nice to reschedule us for Monday even though 2 years ago we had done the Shake Rattle and Roll tour (we really wanted to do the Presidio Tour but weren't opposed to the SRR tour). When we arrived on Mon at 10am, we were the only two and she (the owner) was nice enough to offer if we would like to do the Presidio tour since we had already ridden with her once and in Sept '09 rode the Gen 2's in Washington DC. She did make sure were remembered the basics but within 5-10 mins we were on our way! She did tell us that some on the places we were going to visit would be closed but we could look through the fence (which we were okay with). I do wish the radios worked both ways so we could speak to the guide. We are planning on returning in Oct '10 or Nov '10 and would like to do the "real" Presidio tour then. But we absolutely love the Segway tours. My husband is 6'3" and is not bothered by the "watch out for the low branch" comments since we are usually looking around at what is being talked about. Highly reccommend!!

great fun, easy to learn

our half hour "lesson" was all we need to take off at the slower speed. We all did well & got to increase the speed and really had fun. We even enjoyed the sights in Old Tucson. Especially liked just driving the segways at the depot!

A lot easier than it looks

We were a bit skittish at first, but after only a few minutes of instruction were able to use the Segway. Within an hour we were very comfortable with them. The tour was most enjoyable and informative. Our guides gave us a lot of good information, with none of the joking nonsense so often heard from tour guides. We have already recommended the tour highly to several friends.

The Segways are the stars!

We enjoyed learning to ride and then taking the tour on the Segways. Our guide, Scott, was great and he did a very good job of teaching us to ride and then leading the tour. He did a very good job of making everyone comfortable on the Segways. As far as the tour sites, Scott did the best he could with what he is working with. The University is nice to see, as is the rattlesnake bridge but some of the time is spent getting from one place to the other.

Great Experience

Though the sign in and process to pay took too long. Need to stream line the process. Group was excited to get going. training on how to use the machine was excellent and especially liked where people were told to let go in case of a fall. Normal reaction would be to hang on. Both you and your husband were very friendly and not critical on how to use the machine which was good and we had one person in the group who was timid. Made us all feel welcome. Definitely recommend to other in our RV group when we got back. All of the people did not know your company existed, we found it by accident in one of the flyers. Would recommend you advertise more to specific companies like Lazy-Days and offer a group discount when a rally is held at their facility or advertise at their facility. More people who have liked to have gone too but already had signed up for different activities and didn't have time to add yours.

We've ridden Segways before and enjoyed it so much that we had to do it again and introduce it to our friends. We all had a great time. The training was fine and the group leader very personable, knowledgeable and careful of all his charges (us).

Fun to find out what a Segway is all about

It was definitely worth it to experience a Segway -- the tour itself is not anythinig special, but from a Segway it was fun.

There were 5 of us, one in wheelchair, owner arranged for place for this person to wait comfortable for us. Tour was fantastic, guide/owner was excellent. I would very highly recommend this event to anyone! And we will be doing another tour at this location with this guide!

A Fun Afternoon

The focus on safety was excellent and appreciated for first time riders. Would have enjoyed a few more minutes to test the segway before the main event and a few minutes at the end to try a faster speed with new confidence. Hope Segway will develop other tours around Tucson, perhaps from outlying outlying locations.

We had a delightful tour, a great Segway adventure
Fri, Mar 20, 09   2:00 PM lrucker Male 60-69 Combination Group of Friends
One of us was a Segway newbie and the other a "veteran". Both of us were accorded fine personalized instruction to match our experience levels and both had a great time. Denise was very responsive to everyone's individual interests, and all felt very safe and well informed. The earphones on each of our Segways had beautiful reception for Denise's transmissions, so there was no problem hearing any of the tour information or advice about difficult street crossings, etc. The adventure reminds me of one of my early cross-country equestrian trail rides but with extraordinary technological support. Bravo for Shake, Rattle, and Roll! I look forward to taking the early morning tour when I return to Tucson.
