My wife and I had never been on a Segway, looked like fun so we tried it. My wife can't ride a bicycle, and is challenged by the TV remote control. In 15 minutes of great instruction from Denise, she was riding like a Pro. Really enjoyed the U of A campus, and student reaction to the Segway tour, and learned quite a bit of local history. One of the nicest afternoons we've had in Tucson! |

There wasn't a bad thing about this, even for someone as uncoordinated as I am.
Good training, nice trainers/guides, excellent history while we rolled (as a docent, I really appreciated the guide's abilty to cogently tell a wide-ranging story while in motion), a beautiful city,...I wish we had more time.
I recommend this to anyone. |

I think most people go on this tour as a way to ride a Segway and it's the perfect way to try one out! You get plenty of time to train, plenty of time to ride the tour. The tour makes it special though. You see some of the architectural history of Tucson as well as a historical site or two. Stu is very knowledgeable about the history of Tucson and both he and Denise were very good about keeping us out of trouble areas such as potholes, glass, etc.
This is a tour I would recommend without the Segways, but the combination is definitely worth the cost. |

This one should definitely be on your "bucket list" of things to do.
My husband and I were visiting our son who is studying at the U of A. We had seen a segway tour in Phoenix and had always said it looked like fun, but they only toured the Marriott Resort property. So when we read the wonderful reviews from others about Denise and Stu and the Tucson tour, we decided to give it a try. Our son decided to join us also after rescheduling a meeting, which made it even more fun.
It is everything others have said it was. Not only are the segways a blast, but the walking (uh rolling) tour was fun and very interesting. Our son is in the Business School and doesn't get on campus very often because all his classes are in Eller. He enjoyed being on campus and learning some of the history about the university, and also the local area, which is very colorful. Denise and Stu did a great job - Stu kept us in line and safe through the Tucson streets while Denise conducted the tour using individual earpieces - the earpieces and helmets fit so comfortably you didn't even feel as if you were wearing them. The segways themselves were so much fun - even more than we had expected. They are not difficult to learn, but Denise and Stu took it slow at the beginning to make sure everyone is comfortable.
We also met a lovely British couple who now live in the Phoenix area. We enjoyed a milkshake with them at the end of the tour. The milkshake was one of the best we've ever tasted.
Every detail was covered (they even provided a bottle of water to keep you hydrated) and well worth the price. Thank you Denise and Stu. We all really enjoyed the tour! |

The Segway tour is a great couple of hours. The Segway's themselves were a lot easier to master than I thought. Our guides were concerned about safety and gave ample safety training on the usw of the Segways. They were also extremely knowledgable about the area and gace interesting commentary throughout the tour. |

We really enjoyed the Segway tour. Easy to learn, with great instruction from Stu and Denise. As first-time visitors to Tucson, we would have liked a bit more general history of the area, but that didn't take away from our enjoyment at all. Denise should do hand-outs on the way - we had so many people ask us how to sign up as we rolled past them. Do it - you won't regret it. |

We very much enjoyed our tour of Tucson on the Segway vehicles. While none of us had ever been on a Segway before, with a short training session we were soon operating them with comfort. The Tour was informative and fun for all, including our 17 year old son. This is a fun and exciting way to see the sights. |

I've always wanted to ride a Segway and finally had a free afternoon in Tucson to give it a go. After a brief instruction session by Denise the owner, we were off.
We toured the neighborhoods and the University of Arizona with Denise providing a running commentary of the sights via a small radio earpiece we put on at the beginning of the tour.
Riding the scooter was remarkably easy after a few minutes of practice, it's a lot of fun.
And at the end, a terrific vanilla milkshake caps the afternoon.
Highly recommended! |

I don't think that I have ever had so much fun and learned so much in such order! Plus, we got to experience the far-out Segway transportation system for the first time. We're looking forward to bringing out of town guest next time for a memorable visit. |

Denise was fabulous! She spent ample time going over safety and use of the Segway. After that,, we each demonstrated our skill on the machine and we were off to the streets. The Segway was easier to use than I expected. The tour itself covered alot of ground, and we traveled much further than we could have on foot. It was alot of fun and informative. Denise captured our attention with many fine points about the sites we saw along the way. The rattlesnake bridge was neat, and who could complain about a milkshake at end the experience? I want to add that I had concerns about putting on a helmet that some one wore prior to me, so I brought a showere cap to wear underneath, however, when I arrived at the storefront, Denise had surgical caps available as well as Lysol disinfectant wipes and was very well aware of germ isswues. She personally cleans each piece of equipment prior to storing them for the next user.
Bravo Denise for a fantastic experience!!! You have found your Niche! |
