Not for the weak of heart, body or mind

This was a miserable experience for us. The woman who was in charge, with her husband, treated us as if she were a war time general, screaming at us from the back of the line if anyone did anything wrong. The practice session was so intimidating that we wanted to get off the segways then and there. The woman started her training by telling us about her health (for at least 10 minutes), which also made us want to leave immediately. We were here for fun, not to hear her life story. The ride itself was tense and uninteresting. This tour should only be for those that have experience, and we all agreed that it was a rather contrived way to make money and we all wished we had our $70 back. Riding a Segway is not something that you can simply get on and go.It takes balance, and the counterintuitive turning mechanism got most of us into trouble at one time or another. It does NOT turn like a bicycle, and for us, long time bikers, this was extremely hard to get used to. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Owners themselves were the tour guides, so we as customers felt cared for and respected. Great way to sight-see and learn some historical facts. Owners are extremely kind and friendly people, and constantly ensured that we weren't fatigued / sunburnt / dehydrated and they did so without being in-your-face. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars for this tour is because we did it in the middle of summer and the heat took a bit of fun out of the whole thing.

Slow ride on a segway

I felt like the segway tour was good and enjoyed some of the history, but we went so slow. Unlike other segway tours I've done where we travel at a comfortable, brisk pace around the town, we went so slow. The fun of riding a segway is going. When I mentioned this to the tour guide I was told its not how fast we go but how safely we get there. I'm all for safe, but we went slow slow that it was frustrating.

Segway Fun in the Sun

Touring the Historic Presidio Trail on a Segway was a thrilling experience! Our group was the envy of the fellow pedestrians we encountered (and even some motorized traffic). We have no fear of riding a Segway since this was our second tour and highly recommend everyone to experience these tours. Try it you will like it!

We had a great time. Our group was mixed; a young adult male & two middle-aged females, one with very little balance or coordination, and we all loved it. The Segways were easy to ride, and the tour was well planned (I know the area well, and I know our guide chose a good route.) The guide, Stu, was extremely patient and clear in teaching us how to ride, and very conscientious in making sure we were safe while we had fun (we're not good at following rules, but his made sense and never felt oppressive). We'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Denise was a great guide! Her stories about the sights were entertaining and educational. She uses a microphone broadcasting to be able to be heard using remote receivers with earphones for those on the tour. The pace of the tour was gentle and comfortable. The training on the Segway was gentle and understanding of my ability. I really enjoyed the tour and the vanilla shake afterward. Excellent shake! Excellent tour!

Riding a Segway was on my "Bucket List" for a long time. I saw a group on tour near downtown Tucson and called that same week to get on a tour. It only took 5-10 minutes of instruction to get the hang of standing still and moving around - making turns and having the machine under my control. I was amazed at how stable the ride was - it's easy to control and just pure fun to ride. I plan to take the family on a tour when then come to town next. It's a Nike thing -- Just Do It!

The Segway tour leader gave us very clear, calm, and helpful coaching on riding the Segway--a tricky skill to learn. She especially emphasize safety. The tour was interesting--I've lived in Tucson since 1983, and the leader showed me places I had not noticed before. The tour leader provided headsets so that we could clearly hear her tour notes. The tour was fun, too, and relaxing.

We were very impressed with the tour guides--very welcoming but safety conscious and offering superb narratives on the well-chosen sights depicting Tucson history. It could not have been a better outing and we recommend it unconditionally. The Sholdts

The weather the day before Christmas cooperated and was sunny and comfortable. The tour was really more than we expected as we were most interested in the Segway ride and experience. All in our group of 6 were enthusiastic about the experience and had a great time. Riding the Segway was very easy and became intuitive in about 5 minutes. The Tour leaders were very helpful and fun.
