We had a great time. A little too much instruction while on the tour, but we saw a Lot of the city. |

We simply wanted to keep "rolling" - there was too much detail @ stops! The best part was the leisurely "stroll" through the charming neighborhoods. What a way to see Tucson! |

Owners themselves were the tour guides, so we as customers felt cared for and respected. Great way to sight-see and learn some historical facts. Owners are extremely kind and friendly people, and constantly ensured that we weren't fatigued / sunburnt / dehydrated and they did so without being in-your-face. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars for this tour is because we did it in the middle of summer and the heat took a bit of fun out of the whole thing. |

Slow ride on a segway

I felt like the segway tour was good and enjoyed some of the history, but we went so slow. Unlike other segway tours I've done where we travel at a comfortable, brisk pace around the town, we went so slow. The fun of riding a segway is going. When I mentioned this to the tour guide I was told its not how fast we go but how safely we get there. I'm all for safe, but we went slow slow that it was frustrating. |

Annoying guides but fun to ride Segways

It was fun driving the Segways around downtown Tucson, but it was annoying being treated by the two guides(owners) like 6 year olds on the tour. Constantly being told to duck trees, watch walls, watch bumps, got real tiresome after the first hour of the tour. We had enough intelligence after the first 30 minutes to watch for low trees, etc. Also it seemed we took way too many breaks during the tour and yet the tour still ended up being almost 30 minutes short on the advertised time of 2.5 hours. Of course had we not taken all those breaks then the tour would have been another 1/2 hour shorter. Also it would have been better had we been able to communicate with the tour leader during the tour as the thier radio system was only one way.
We think the owners should re-valuate their route to encompass more areas(such as historic homes) so as to have the tour go its advertised length. They should also watch the participants abilities during the first part of the tour to see if they need to constantly remind them to watch out for this and that.. They should also ask their clients if they need breaks. Finally, I don't believe that owners of an enterprise should be hinting to be tipped. Tipping protocol is usually reserved for employees.
The only reason I don't put a non recommendation on this tour is that riding the Segways is an unique experience. It is also a great avenue for walking challenged persons to see downtown Tucson. |

Denise was fabulous! She spent ample time going over safety and use of the Segway. After that,, we each demonstrated our skill on the machine and we were off to the streets. The Segway was easier to use than I expected. The tour itself covered alot of ground, and we traveled much further than we could have on foot. It was alot of fun and informative. Denise captured our attention with many fine points about the sites we saw along the way. The rattlesnake bridge was neat, and who could complain about a milkshake at end the experience? I want to add that I had concerns about putting on a helmet that some one wore prior to me, so I brought a showere cap to wear underneath, however, when I arrived at the storefront, Denise had surgical caps available as well as Lysol disinfectant wipes and was very well aware of germ isswues. She personally cleans each piece of equipment prior to storing them for the next user.
Bravo Denise for a fantastic experience!!! You have found your Niche! |

The event was excellent, but the trip around the Univerity was to long. It would have been better if we would had looked at some more old houses or other places of interest for tourists. |

We had a great time. Our group was mixed; a young adult male & two middle-aged females, one with very little balance or coordination, and we all loved it. The Segways were easy to ride, and the tour was well planned (I know the area well, and I know our guide chose a good route.) The guide, Stu, was extremely patient and clear in teaching us how to ride, and very conscientious in making sure we were safe while we had fun (we're not good at following rules, but his made sense and never felt oppressive). We'd do it again in a heartbeat. |

It was definitely worth it to experience a Segway -- the tour itself is not anythinig special, but from a Segway it was fun. |

We were only two, so owners Stu and Denise Russell gave us their full and complete
attention. Neither my companion or I had ever been on a Segway before.
The training was excellent, so when we left the lot, it didn't take long to feel
like "old pros". Denise really had done her homework as the tour guide;
we really learned the history of the neighbourhoods we visited.
Stu was an excellent "minder"and made sure we never had a
problem. Our next trip to Tucson, another of their tours will
be on our itinerary. |

Good combination of Segway instruction and history

This was a fun tour, and the owners/guides went out of their way to stress safety and provide good instruction on riding the Segway. When one woman "chickened out" at the beginning, they were completely understanding. They also provided an interesting account of Tucson history, with a couple of stops along the way. The only problem I had was a steering difficulty with my Segway, which consistently pulled to the right. This is why I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5. But certainly recommended for anyone curious about trying a Segway, and wanting to learn a little about Tucson at the same time. |

My husband and I had a great time on this tour. The training was well done. I had been on a Segway before but he hadn't. He said at first he was nervous but after 10 minutes.......he felt comfortable. This Shake Rattle and Roll tour was very informative. Seeing some very old homes, cactus, the very large campus of the U of A (especially Old Main) was great. Then we Segway'd through some neighborhoods which housed railroad workers years ago and how small their living space was. It was fun seeing the architecture changes. Over the snake bridge was really neat. The whole experience was wonderful capped off with a vanilla shake. Next year we want to take another tour of Tucson with this same company. We are snowbirds and we told our Snowbird friends about this tour. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get a group next year to go on this tour. I want to add the husband/wife that own/operate this company are super nice and very knowledgeable. We all wore speakers in one ear so we were narrated throughout the trip.............. We are looking forward to next winter and taking the Presidio tour. |

This was our third segway tour in the last year; the other two being in Charlotte and San Diego. This was much different, not bad, but different. Denise and Stu are retired and very enthusiastic about their business. They have a nice story to tell befor you begin that explains how Roll With It came about. In comparison, we went on a very leisurely tour and found out some interesting facts about Tucson and it's history. I guess I would have rather seen downtown, never having been in Tucson before, just to see what we might like to do later in our visit. The downtown tours are only offered on weekends. Also, they had headsets which was a very welcome addition not offered on our other tours so we didn't miss any of the narration. The 'highlight' of the tour was rattlesnake bridge, but, in my opinion was really nothing to speak of. I would recommend this tour for middle age people looking for a relaxing history lesson. I think younger people would find it boring. The 'merchant district' in which the business is located seems sketchy at first but they do have a nice little office. Don't be scared away by that. I would like to see the downtown tour. |
