You learn a lot about the area, that would have been missed without this tour. Our guide was so informed and knew the owner and chefs personally. It was great to get some new inspirations for my own kitchen. If you enjoy food I recommend you take this tour.

the tour started out okay at Empanada Mama which was very tasty. Our guide was very informative. I did not like going to locations and not tasting anything. I did not like going to businesses just to look around or purchase something. I shouldn't be hungry on a FOOD TOUR but I was. And I did not appreciate being taken to a ROACH infested establishment. It was a HUGE turn-off. I would not recommend this tour to anyone.

Rum & Blackbird Taste Tour Is Delicious

I highly recommend Moira Campbell's Rum & Blackbird taste tour of Hells Kitchen. We found it to be an unusual, off the beaten track tour with a homey and personal touch. Moira, a professional chef, chose small mom-and-pop eateries that we wouldn't have noticed otherwise. They were all delicious, inexpensive, and highlight New York's unique ethnic and creative character. Moira is well-versed in the history of the area, so we received an interesting, educational tour as well. We especially recommend taking the tour at the beginning of your trip, so there will be plenty of time to return to favorites later on. Susan Cole & Meena Cherian

Our Annual Walking Tasting Tour In NYC

We'd never ventured into the Hell's Kitchen area, so we were excited to see what it offered. We also knew very little of its history,so that, too was part of the reason for this tour. We LOVED every minute of it,and did enjoy some of the "tasting" places. In fact, we do plan to visit them again next year. As for the history of Hell's Kitchen, we did learn a lot about that area.

Moira provided our group with a wonderful variety of delectable dishes and fascinating tidbits about the neighborhood. All in all, this was one of our favorite experiences of our visit to NYC.

Five siblings scattered all over the country met in New Jersey for a week. I am from L..A., CA and had read about this tour and made reservations for our group. It was great fun. We enjoyed really tasty food and got a lot of tips on other places to come back and visit in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. Our guide was enthusiastic, flexible, and had a great personality. My nephew joined us and he lives in Hell's Kitchen. Even he discovered places he didn't know about. If you take this tour (and like to eat!) I don't believe you will be disappointed.

Different view of NYC

My group goes to NYC each year. We always do some well-publized activity (B'way show, etc). This tour gave us a different view of NYC and a wonderful neighborhood. The restaurants and food were wonderful. We can't say enough good things about the tour but be sure we will be saying a lot to all our friends. South Jersey and Delaware are not far away and we will be bac-c-c-k!

For a fun and educational time take a tour of Hell's Kitchen. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour as our guide, Erin, was very well informed about the area and we learned lots that way and in addition we got to sample many different foods. It was simply a great way to become familiar with the area. I would highly recommend this tour.

A very interesting tour led by a knowledgeable and personable young lady who introduced us to some very special restaurants we would not have found on our own.
