Seller: Saboutime
(Saboutime Sailing LLC)

Seller Description:
Captain John Harkless is a US Coast Guard licensed skipper who has been sailing since he was a boy. He founded Saboutime Sailing while he was living on the beautiful New Hampshire seacoast, and ran a thriving sailing charter and teaching business for five years out of Pepperell Cove in Kittery Point, Maine.

New England winters began to lose their charm, and in 2007, Captain John decided to join Kahuna Katamarans on Marco Island to take a look around, get to know the people and see how Florida would be. After a year with Kahuna Katamarans, Captain John decided to bring his own business to Marco Island.

With over fifty years on the water sailing boats from Beetle Cats to Square Riggers, he will make your time aboard "Saboutime" a special event to be remembered for a lifetime.

Activity Description
Join us for an exciting private sailing adventure for up to 6 people on the Gulf of Mexico. Only offered as a private charter just for your group, this trip is unforgettable.

We'll sail out on the Big Marco River where you'll have a chance to see our famous wild life, including:

  • Bottlenose dolphins
  • Manatees
  • Sea turtles
  • Birds such as pelicans, gulls, terns, frigate birds, ospreys and maybe even eagles!
We encounter most of these critters on each trip, and when we do, we interrupt the schedule to get "up close and personal".

We'll bring the dinghy, and depending where the wind takes us, we'll land on Marco Island's Tigertail Beach, Sandollar Beach or Keewyden Island's seven mile long white sand beach.

The trip lasts an hour more than our regular day sail, so take your time and enjoy the spectacular shelling, swimming or just beach combing. When you've had enough beach time, we'll continue our cruise along the beautiful Florida Gulf coast.

No matter which direction we choose, you'll experience the beautiful sensations of a classic yacht under sail. Sit forward under the genoa and hear only the sounds of the wind and bow wave, or spread out in the comfortable cockpit under the shade of the bimini. Sit, relax or lend a hand in sailing the boat. Try a turn at the wheel, if you like!

The trip is yours only and we'll do our best to make it as special and memorable as possible.

What Is Not Included?
We provide complimentary soft drinks and bottled water. Feel free to bring your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages or snacks as well (no red wine or glass bottles allowed on board).
