Tropical Sailing provides yacht charters for individuals or private groups aboard South Florida’s newest and most spacious fleet of catamarans: the world famous 50' sailing catamaran Spirit of Lauderdale or Tranquility, our 40' power catamaran. and our flagship the 78' Caribbean Spirit.
Guests can swim warm clear Floridian waters and enjoy beautiful white sand beaches on deserted cays off of South Florida's east coast. Lunch buffet and beach barbecues are available as well as full and half day sailing trips.
With two convenient locations at Miami Marina at Bayside and Bahia Mar Resort in Fort Lauderdale, we provide great access to South Florida's finest destinations

Next we'll head to the Atlantic Ocean. Sails up, sea breezes and salt air increase everyone's taste for fun. Calypso music and breaking waves provide a tropical rhythm. Relax and inhale while you sip on an ice cold beverage served by our friendly crew.
The exotic barrier island John U. Lloyd State Park is a 253 acre park between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, perfect for beach combing, swimming, sunbathing, kayaking and volleyball. This astounding beach front park preserves some of South Florida's vanishing natural resources.
Island beach facilities include a full service bar/restaurant, clean restrooms, fresh water showers, snorkel equipment, kayaks & canoes, and chaise lounges.
This trip includes a delicious lunch at the Loggerhead Cafe on the Island, domestic beer or large soda. Taxes and tip for food is also included. Soft drinks, bottled water, and snacks such as chips, nuts and pretzels are complimentary for the duration of the trip.
What Is Not Included?
- At the island, water sports such as kayak and canoe rentals are $10, and snorkeling equipment is available for rent for $5 per person. Please bring extra cash with you if you'd like to rent equipment during our stay at the island!
- Lunch includes a domestic beer or large soda for adults, and 1 item from the child menu and a soda for children. Tax and tip for food is included in the price of the trip.
- Additional beer or wine is $3 each, or $10 for an open bar of beer and wine for the duration of the cruise (available for purchase upon booking your tickets).
Must be 21 years old to purchase alcoholic beverages.
