Our sunset champagne sail on board the Adirondack III was easily one of, if not the best and most memorable evening of our honeymoon. The weather couldn't have been been better and the sunset was stunning. The captain and crew were exceptionally friendly and made the adventure all the more enjoyable, interacting with other sailing charters on the water and maneuvering deftly about each other. The drinks and snacks available were wonderful and I was fortunate enough to aid in raising the mainsail and taking the helm for a while. We both have the sailing itch now and are eager to get into the hobby one day (retirement is a long way off). We both highly recommend the Classic Harbor Line, which has more to offer than just sunset sails! Don't forget to tip the crew/bartenders! |

My husband and I spent a week in Key West for our honeymoon. Each day from our hotel pool we'd see the America 2.0 or Adirondack III going by and wanted in. Although the day of our sail was overcast, the ride was great, the crew funny and friendly, and the whole experience really memorable (and not super expensive)! |

I really enjoyed the cruise and highly recommend it. The Schooner is very new and clean, and the crew fun. My only wish is that the refreshments included the shrimp, cheese and crackers listed in the brochure (Fruit and veggies didn't quite cut it - champagne deserves some carbs). |

This was a perfect sail on a picture-perfect day. The captain and the crew were skilled and friendly. This sail was a gift from our daughter and we recommneded that she take it in NY or Newport this summer. |

I am a fairly experienced sailor, but looked forward to this trip for weeks. I took my 82 year old mother (it was her birthday)my wife and two kids ages 16 and 19. The day was cloudy , windy, and spitting rain....perfect for sailing!
The crew was terrific, friendly and personable, grabbed my 16 year old and put him to work! He loved being a part of the crew....the wind was blowing about 25 knots, even with the main reefed we were doing about 12 to 14 knots on a reach....at a 105 feet that is pretty impressive! America 2.0 really captures the feel of a vintage boat, my kids are still talking about their turn at the helm....and the beer was ICE cold! My kids and I have sailed on several modern "America's Cup" boats including "Stars and Stripes"....I'd have to say this was the best so far! Another experience that I can check off of the "bucket list". John from North Carolina |

Skipper Chris and Deckhands AJ and Mindy went out of their way to ensure a great afternoon of sailing on this classic windjammer! Guests were invited to assist (but not required to) in hoisting the sails and taking the helm. The tour was to be 3.5 hours, but because of great wind, great company and flexibility in scheduling, we stayed out well past that--closer to five hours. Sonny provided outstanding gourmet sandwiches and pasta salad and the beer and wine (only $1) went down really well! While this was an extended day sail to observe the sail boat races well out to sea, I can tell by the crew and the shore personnel that you would have a great time no matter how long you are out. |

Other than being a little hard to find, this was a great excursion. It was a windy and cool day, but the crew handed out blankets to keep us warm. There were lots of other sail boats of all sizes on the water and it was quite a sight. The crew was cordial and very outgoing and were skilled at putting and taking down the sails. Beverages, including water, soda and beer were all one dollar and bathrooms were easy to access. All in all, it was a great afternoon activity. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our sailing aventure! It was the highlight of our trip. The captain and crew were informative, friendly and attended to our every need, very professional. They invited guests try their hand at sailing, and several people took a turn at the helm. It was a really fun time, everybody on the boat seemed to enjoy our trip. The weather was great, the water was unbelievably beautiful, and we even saw some dolphins. It was exhilerating to watch the crew operate the sails and navigate, the boat was fast and it appeared seamless to come about and turn with the changing winds. The America 2.0 schooner was the greatest, most impressive and newest boat around! We would highly recommend it to anyone! |

As a longtime sailor of smaller boats, and an avid watcher of the America's Cup, I was thrilled to be able to sail a major historical boat. Taking the wheel was a thrill. |

The management team and crew of Adirondack III made our sunset cruise a top choice for a Key West experience. There were even yummy snacks (though the info said not.) This lovely wooden vessel convinces me that a sail every week, not just when guests come, could satisfy my salty soul when Old Town feels a tad closed in. |

Best Sail I've Had in Years

My husband and daughter and her husband did the Champagne Sunset Sail on Christmas Eve aboard the America II and it was the best sail that I've experienced in years. For one thing, it was a true sail -- not the typical sunset cruise where they motor most of the time. The price is more expensive than most sunset cruises but well worth it as the boat is new and there are no where near as many people on board, making it much more enjoyable. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable but could have been a bit more attentive in serving drinks. The only negative comment I have is that there was no smoking on board the vessel and this was not mentioned anywhere in the information when I booked the cruise. The others with me on the sail all smoked and this unfortunately put a damper on their time. Nevertheless, as a local who has lived in Key West going on 10 years I would highly recommend the America II sunset cruise sail as a wonderful Key West experience. |
