Definitely an activity to do in Key West! Much more enjoyable than being crammed on a "party barge" catamaran

What a delightful excursion. Our captain was witty and knowledgeable, and the crew professional and personable. And the boat - a real show-stopper with elegant, classic lines that emulate the original Americas Cup winner. As former sailboat owners, my wife and I always relished the sense of magic when the engine goes silent, the sails take hold of the wind, and the hull surges smoothly forward, straining for the horizon. Sailing on America 2.0 was a wonderful reminder of our sailing days, and a real highlight of our visit to Key West.

Everything about this experience was great! Paying online was easy, when we went down to Key West and checked in the lady was very cordial and had all of our information, and best of all the cruise itself was amazing. As an added bonus the crew handling the ship was very personable and it was great just chatting to them about their experiences and where they've been. Would definitely recommend to family and friends!

My husband and I HIGHLY recommend taking this day sail trip on the Schooner America 2.0. We were under sail after only eight minutes out of port, and the trip was a glorious experience. The beautiful day with almost 15-knot winds certainly contributed to the great sail, but in addition the captain (Andrew) and crew were highly skilled, very responsible, and attentive to the fun and comfort for all aboard. We were told by others (not the crew) that the Schooner America 2.0 is the fastest ship in Key West, and we can believe it. We expected the sail to be acceptable but were delighted that it far exceeded that and turned out to be really spectacular in every way.

We had a fantastic time. Everything was perfect. Crew were courteous, friendly and attentive. The sunset was exquisite. It was definitely the highlight of our trip to Key West! Highly recommend!

A perfect way to get out on the water,

The management team and crew of Adirondack III made our sunset cruise a top choice for a Key West experience. There were even yummy snacks (though the info said not.) This lovely wooden vessel convinces me that a sail every week, not just when guests come, could satisfy my salty soul when Old Town feels a tad closed in.

We were expecting a 1 and 1/2 hour sail. Captain Andrew decided instead to tow in a dead sea turtle he saw shortly after leaving the harbor since he "wanted it". He eventually let it go, but we spent the entire time circling around the dead turtle while he decided what to do with it. He expressed no concern and joked and sang a chantey "what do you do with a dead turtle". He was adamant that " it is mine since I spotted it". We had a 3 yr old child who was not too happy about it. Nor were we. He said we could come on another cruise with no charge that day, but we could not do that with the child. I said we were leaving the Keys the next day and asked for a voucher for a trip next year when we return. The one I was given expires in May, 2011.

This sail was a great way to cap off our trip. The captain and crew were fantastic, entertaining and attentive. I was very happy I chose to do the sail rather than another company's booze cruise.

Captain Andy and crew really know how to take care of you when you go on this cruise. From the information the crew provided, to the welcoming attitude everyone had and also the $1.00 beer/wine and soft drinks.. This was top notch all the way!!! Watching the crew in action as they raised and lower the sails was a sight to see. A++++ all the way..

What a fantastic way to spend a few relaxing hours In Key West! My mom had never been on a sailboat so we decided to take the mimosa sail while my husband went deep sea fishing. We couldn't have asked for a more attentive, respectful, cheerful crew and the ship was spotless and comfortable. Between that and the reasonable price, we were so happy we went! Thank you to the crew and the captain for a beautiful morning!
