Seller: SailNYC
(Classic Harbor Line LLC)

Seller Description:
Classic Harbor Line of Chelsea Piers operates 2 of the most exceptional resident sail vessels in the New York Harbor: the Schooners Adirondack and Adirondack III.  They held the record  finishes in the Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race for 14 consecutive seasons (1994 - 2007).  Though they are light and lively sailing vessels, they are also quite comfortable, with ample deck space and seating for up to 49. They were built and designed for taking groups of people on spectacular sightseeing adventures by Scarano Boat Building of Albany, NY.
They are operated by Coast Guard certified captains and extremely friendly and talented crew.

Sailing these schooners is an absolute honor and a privilege. They move through the water so efficiently and beautifully, we take great pride in sharing them with you. Known for their amazing hospitality, our crew is all professionally trained and experienced on sailing our vessels well and safely. Do not hesitate to ask our crew about the boat or any of the NYC sites.

The exact departure time for this sail has not yet been set. Please check back closer to the 4th and, in the meantime, take a look at our Classic Schooner Sails for an alternative.

Activity Description
Join us for a 4th of July celebration aboard the Schooner Adirondack. Experience a great view of the fireworks, the Statue of Liberty, and the New York City skyline!

Climb aboard the Adirondack and join your captain on this joyful, picturesque sail. Surrounded by other boats in a festive holiday atmosphere, the spirit of July 4th will fill the harbor!

There will be an open beer, soda, wine, and Champagne bar. Fruit, cheeses, and desserts are also included.

Some illuminated views along the way will include:

  • The New York City Skyline
  • Battery Park, a 20 acre park at the southern tip of Manhattan, where artillery has been stationed over the centuries
  • Ellis Island, the immigrant doorway to America from 1892 to 1954
  • The Statue of Liberty, a French gift that arrived in New York harbor in 1885 and has come to represent our nation's freedom and ideals
We will be shutting off our engines and setting sail for as much of the trip as possible after the fireworks.

Climb aboard the Schooner Adirondack and experience the city's most festive summer night!
