We took the Sunset Sail on the America 2.0. The weather could not have been more perfect. The captain kept us all entertained with his commentary, and his crew members were hospitable, efficient, professional, and very friendly. If you've ever wondered whether a sailboat ride around New York Harbor at sunset is worth the time and money, wonder no more: this sail is the perfect way to see the skyline, the Statue of Liberty, the sunset, and the harbor, all with complimentary beverages, and still time for dinner afterwards! I would pay to do this every time I'm in the city, and would encourage all of my friends to make time for this 2-hour excursion. Thanks to the captain and crew of the America 2.0 for the perfect New York City evening! |

This was the most perfect event ever. We picked up lobster rolls from Chelsea Market and then walked down to the pier. The staff was so nice, the captain was very funny and the boat was absolutely gorgeous. We had four people in our group - two locals and two out of towners - and we all had an equally wonderful time. It was such a pleasant and perfect way to spend the evening chatting and exclaiming over the city views. The crew was incredibly gracious and not having to worry about bringing your own drinks was really nice. It was all in all the highlight of my five day trip to New York.
As an aside, the company is very nice. I had originally booked for another night but when they accidentally double-booked our group, a quick phone call fixed everything and they actually upgraded us for free to the America 2.0. I cannot say enough good things about Classic Harbor Line and the wonderful trip. Go book now! |

We had such an amazing time on the boat! The boat was immaculate and the crew was laid back and fun. The experience of being on a 105 ft. Sailboat is far beyond any ferry boat or other boat, with the knowledgeable crew trimming the humongous sails every few minutes. We got closer to the statue of liberty than any other boat I've been on and the sunset was amazing! It was the highlight of our trip. Anyone, local or tourist, young or old would have an amazing time! Do it! |
