We had two extremely well-informed guides who knew when to talk and when not to talk. Tte staff was friendly, the boat was immaculate, the views were spectacular--especially at the top of the island where the Harlem River opens into the Hudson. I thought i knew my beloved city pretty well, but the trip was full of surprises. |

Wonderful tour. Well worth the money spent. The boat is comfortable and pleasant; food, drink, and careful service worthwhile amenities. Best of all is the guide, who gave us a frame of reference--the industrial and post-industrial city--for what we were seeing and pointed out examples of "old" and "new" along the waterfront that we may have missed on our own. Other boat rides plow their way around the island, but this boat ride was enjoyable and educational at the same time. The group was small enough so that we could move around the boat easily, meet and talk to new people, or stay on our own all in perfect comfort. Hard to believe we took this boat ride two days before the waterfront and the city are forever changed by Hurricane Sandy. Glad we did, but we are likely to take the journey again to experience the changes. |

I am a long-time New Yorker, AIA member and general New York enthusiast. Thoroughly enjoyed this trip, as did my friend who is also an architect and fellow AIA member. We were able to take in the fantastic views from either outside on the deck, or inside from the cozy indoor area of the boat. The bottle of wine we pre-purchased was great and the service outstanding. Highly recommend this trip-- especially as it is the only one I've ever known of that circles the entire island. Quite interesting! |

Even for a native New Yorker it was a "wow" experience to have a water view of the City's sky line
The guide was excellent and informative, and the crew extremely nice and helpful. |

We love New York and the multitude of experiences it has to offer. We read about the architectural boat tour in the New York Times about a month ago and went for the first time last week. I say first time, as we can't wait to do it again. The architects were knowledgeable and likable. The boat was classy as was the crew. The almost three hours zoomed by. Our only hesitation is that there was so much to see, hear and learn that we felt like we may have missed something. That's why we will do it again. A great New York experience, particularly for those who appreciate architecture, the city and learning about the infrastructure. |

Four of us who love NYC and have visited numerous times, all loved the tour. We were concerned about the weather before we saw the boat. The accommodations were comfortable indoor & outdoor with large windows so everyone could see easily. The guides were very knowledgeable and dynamic. We hope that you will consider an architectural tour #2 for people who have taken the first one and want more! It was a wonderful overview; now we'd like to learn more about a select few sites. |

We had to cancel our trip due to Hurricane Sandy - were afraid of getting stuck in NYC in the aftermath. |

My wife and I had a great time on the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and the boat crew were extremely nice and helpful. I would recommend this tour to anyone new to the NYC area and was a fan of the buildings. |

We are architectural buffs (but not architects), so we enjoyed learning about the many buildings and bridges encompassed on this tour. The arrangements were comfortable, and the food was surprisingly good. The only drawback was the cloudy weather, which of course is not under your control! |
