Straight 10's across the board. Seriously, the Captain, the Crew and the Commentator were awesome. The Commentator was so knowledgeable about all the Architectural Bulidings, to me was very impressive. If this is of interest to you, please do yourself a favor and take this tour. Oh yes, and the refeshments were great also. Disclaimer:) I'm in no way associated with this business, I just appreciate good service when I see it:) which we all know, this day and time is lacking. |

The architect-narrator was extremely knowledgeable and clear in his descriptions. He pointed out a lot of interesting facts. The pictures on the brochure were very helpful as well. The boat was very comfortable and the crew polite and helpful. The abundant snacks were a nice surprise. It turned out to be a pleasant educational afternoon. |

We enjoyed thorioughly our tour. The two guides were excellent and incredibly well informed about NYC's architecture. We learnt a lot about the diversity of the city and its architechture. My only suggestion would be that the tour be prefaced with a 10 minute history of the city - when it was founded, laid out and developed to provide more context. |

Get in line early and get seat facing the skyline

Unlike, say a foliage tour, it's important to be facing the skyline, otherwise you are craning your neck the whole way (2:45 minutes of it). We were there early, and the deck steward said we could sit wherever we wanted, but moved us from the area we had chosen (said it was roped off), by which time the prime seats were all gone. |

Classic Harbor Line provides an eye-opening tour by water, covering much of New York City by water. The tour, specializing in architecture, is led by experienced professionals who know a lot about the city. Its one thing to take in New York by foot, its entirely different to travel on water and see the city from a very different point of view. The yacht is beautiful, the service is great, a spectacular way to get acquainted with the Big Apple! |

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our architectural boat tour. Seeing Manhattan (as well as Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx) by boat gives one a much better perspective on the city's varied architecture and landscape. Our guide was knowledgeable and provided just enough historical and architectural information to be enlightening without overwhelming. The pace was brisk, never a lull. On-board service was excellent. Shortly after departing, we were offered complimentary beer and wine and a bit later, a lovely fruit and cheese service was laid out below deck. The seating was comfortable--we chose to remain outside on deck, although there was ample seating below for those who wished to be out of the sun or wind. Great way to spend an afternoon. |

The old boat was elegant with lovely snacks and drinks provided. The others on the trip were intelligent and very interested in local history and architecture. The AIA speakers were relaxed, knowledgeable, and helpful. They let others chime in, and they were not overbearing like so many pin-headed tours. |
