| The four hour sail up the Hudson was well worth the money. For the same cost as a show or a bus tour, you get a relaxing, quiet look at the Manhattan skyline and NJ Palisades. Plus, drinks (yes, with Rum if you want it) a sandwich and a knowledgeable, friendly crew are included. The trip ran from the 23rd street dock to the GW Bridge. Although we were expecting more mileage, the distance was right for the time, given the wind and current conditions. There seemed to be little space to retreat to if it rained, so be prepared for the prevailing weather conditions [although the web site says the trip would be cancelled if the weather is too inclement]. We sailed on a crisp November day, and it felt like we successfully extended our Summer vacation. |

| The Adirondack's staff provides a comfortable environment on a relaxing sail up the Hudson River. Be sure to dress warm and prepare to cuddle up. The wind combined with brisk weather can be a bit cold out of the sun, but this is the fall season.
The views are great along the Jersey coastline and the Manhattan skyline as always. A simple lunch combined with exotic local brewery beverages, makes for a great 'start of the season' pumpkin ale lift. Be sure to enjoy a candy apple along side a toasted blueberry ale (brewed locally in Long Island), while you watch the sun caress off the water.
Photography fan? This schooner sail will set you up with great telescopic shots of the GW bridge and a small hidden lighthouse under it (rarely known about in the tri-state area). Be sure to practice your color enhancement skills and shoot the various earth tones reflecting across the river.
A simple modest 4 hour trip, combined with good weather, this sail is a great outing for a first date or to be reminiscent of past ones. Chit chat about the various parts of the city, or simply enjoy one another's company while basking in the colorful views. Calm, relaxing, and soothing, this schooner trip will sail right by you if you don't stop to enjoy a hot cider while floating outside the greatest city in the world. |

| It was a gorgeous day - and a beautiful boat. But far too expensive for what was offered. The lunch consisted of a turkey & cranberry sandwich - no choice - and two choices of wine: red or white. The red was dreadful - we did not dare to try the white. We also could - and still cannot - understand why the captain (Biff, a.k.a. Julian) spent and awful lot of time reaching the George Washington Bridge, then barely passed it before heading back. And then practically moored at the Jersey shore with still two hours to go. The autumn colours of the palisades and west Manhattan were nice, but it would have been nicer to see some more further up-river. Either the cruise should be extended in terms of distance sailed, or shortened (by at least one hour) in time. The price could also easily be cut in one third. (or more). Finally, we really cannot enjoy the American summer camp / cheer leader style with "Are we having a good time" every two minutes, and the frequent and totally over-the-top warnings about every potential danger (with the omission of choking on the turkey sandwich or bad Merlot). In short, not worth it... |

| Nice date for couples. Beautiful views of Manhattan skylines and great experience for those of us who've never been on a sail boat.
Crew is friendly and hardworking.
Wish we went up the Hudson River a little bit further.
But overall had a great time. |
